I must be one of only a couple of people on here who aren't that desperate to see a Quigg/Frampton fight just yet. I'd like to see it, yeah, but I'm not really excited for it yet either. Both are developing fighters and they should be allowed to develop before putting them together. Aside from that, it's not like there aren't enough opponents out there for them to face before. If Quigg fights and beats Munroe, and Frampton fights and beats Martinez, the fight would be far more tantalizing after those two fights than it is right now.

I just don't see the need to rush it.

And if Lopez had to of beaten Salido, a fight with Gamboa would of been even bigger than was been talked about about about the time. Now it will never happen as there is zero interest. The "letting it brew" scenario is very risky.

Monroe vs Quigg is an exciting fight. I cant help but think that Monroe is too good and has fought at a higher level. Ok Quigg beat Booth but he was the younger bigger fresher man. Monroe like Quigg is is big at the weight relatively young i think about 30 and has fought at a higher level. I think Monroe should win and Hatton promotions will have to figure out what to do with him.
Frampton seems like a better more complete fighter than Quigg and i suspect he's stop him early. Quigg reminds me of John Murray a bit. Big lad plods forward gets punched in the face and can win at a certain level.

Id put money on Munroe to beat Quigg, look at the experience Munroe has had, he's had 6 European title fights and one world title shot already. Quigg has only really fought at British level, Quigg is a good propspect but to put him in with Munroe I think is suicide. As far as Frampton goes I honestly haven't seen enough of him to judge.

  8. I want to see Quigg vs Frampton this year, and I suspect that we will at some stage.

If we don't, there's no drama, there's plenty of other options for both lads win or lose their next fights.

It's not as if they're fighting bus drivers with the promoters trying desperately to keep them apart at all costs, as Maloney was half trying to do with Price and Dallas. That's when this ''let's wait until....'' gets ridiculous.

Gamboa vs Lopez was the prime example of a recent big fight going down the shitter because of a promoter wanting to build the hype. Of course we can now safely say that Lopez would have been flattened, and the fight wouldn't have lived up to it's billing.

Onwards and upwards for both, stick Frampton in with Kiko, try and get it all on the same bill if possible, and then ideally you'll have a triple championship fight between the two young bucks.

The worst case scenario is Munroe vs Martinez III.

:nono Munroe is a quality opponent - this is no walk in the park for Quigg.

Exactly .... im sure Munroe will be a better fighter than what Frampton fights next.

I for one hopes Quigg beats Frampton when they eventually meet.

  11. I agree.

Based on Quigg's recent showings since he went to Gallagher I'd make Munroe the favourite, because Quigg hasn't improved at all.

If Munroe can be arsed he's top class, when he's off he's absolutely shite, struggling with crap/smaller journeymen and being extended every time.

I'd like Quigg to win, but can't help but think that the move to Gallagher hasn't worked out for the best, and also that Rendall will be up for it too knowing there's a potential big fight afterwards.

Late stoppage for me, in a fun fight.
