first tszyu was out of the ring for a while. he said in an interview that he felt like young 30plus fighter because he hadn't been in the ring through injury. inactivity at an advanced age is not ideal. and he was still top 5 p4p because you can't just degrade a fighter through inactivity.

if you look at castillos fight before hatton than that is a clear indication that he was shot.

you can't measure hattons performance against malignagi to a fighter like pacquiao. first of all he punches harder, throws more, and will definitely move better than malignagi.

and finally you say that he fought handpicked opponents. As you said urself this is irrelevant because people thought manny would lose. only when he beats them in stunning fashion people begin to come up with excuses. the truth is if pac fought a less than perfect fight against delahoya and diaz, if the fights were more competitive he would get more acclaim. people find it so hard to believe that a fighter can accomplish the things he does with sheer skill and determination.

He has always been in the 140 but he can't leave his comfort zone. How can you people say he's a courageous fighter? Pac is different. Remember he traversed several weight divisions from flyweight to the welterweight. That's a real courage for a little man.

Going back to Hatton, how about at a catchweight w/ these two fighters?

Most (all!) fighters at that level are courageous, you should get out of this habit you have of calling world class boxers cowards. Hatton fights at 140, thats how weight classes work. Pacs last fight was a welter how about he takes on Williams and Margo? Or even a decent 135 lber, how is the Diaz-Pac situation any different from the Hatton-Collazo one?

Margo and Cotto definitely have better resumes. Pacquiao is now in the lightwelter.

cotto has only ever fought for vacant titles, he's never once fought a defending champ. where as hatton is the ring champ at 140 and has won a belt at 147, and has fought 3 top 10 p4p fighters only losing to pbf. whereas cotto hasn't fought a top 10 p4p fighter yet.

you don't know what your talking about. and pac isn't considered a 140 fighter until he fights there.

Soriano, are you newly anti-Hatton just because he's up next for Pacquiao?

He was ranked #5 in the WW by Ring Magazine. My bad!

But that's beside the point. I'm just responding to he poster who asked who aside from Mosely have better resumes than Hatton in the lightwelter and welter.

No. I actually love both of them fight. But it doesn't mean I can't discuss Pac's padded records.

Do you think Pacs record is padded? In any case, most fighters are to at least some degree.

In Pac's case, i don't so. His records speak for itself. He won 4 division titles. Beaten 4 HOFs. He's #1 P4P. He is still active and creating history. How can that be padded by the stretch of your imagination?

It was you who mentioned Pacs padded record in your last post. I'm still waiting for an answer why you give Pac a title for beating Diaz and not defending when you don't give Hatton a title for doing the same thing against Collazo?

Unlike you, although I'd like Hatton to win I don't have to make ridiculous claims trying to put down everything that Pac has achieved in the ring like you seem to need to do with Hatton.
