Kosta was definitely past it but I'm sure he was shot. Also, Hatton was extremely competitive with PBF for the first 8 rounds or so...
Cummon people....there is a difference between KO and TKO!!!! Calzaghe nut huggers will of course deny this or their boy will be exposed for having a WHOPING 2 KO's on his record hahaha I like calzaghe, but gets overated IMO... Hatton did a great job of getting guys at the right time (tszyu & castillo), but i respect that he has TWICE gone to the US fought the P4P number 1's (close enough to their primes)....That is something Calzaghe and very few British fighters have done in recent years!!! The question is who has the best resume, I think History will see Calzaghe triumph here...Although people today should respect Hattons accomplishments more!
Cokezaghe's only impressive win was Kessler and I suppose hopkins...Hatton has the better resume...much more exciting fighter too
Hatton's resume is much much better than Calzaghe's resume. Tszyu=Kessler, Hatton made Tszyu quit on his stool. Hatton did the better job. Urango=Lacy, about a push here, may'be even a slight nod to Calzaghe because he wasn't expected to win, and he flat out beat up Lacy. While Hatton was impressive as well outboxing Urango. JLC=RJJ, both were shot and Hatton made JLC look like a shot fighter. Hatton did what he had to do and he stopped JLC. Calzaghe got put on his arse by a shot RJJ. Hatton's win much much better. Not to mention Hatton has Paulie, Lazcano, Collazo, Tackie, and Maussa on his resume as well.
No, Hatton was not competitive at all with Floyd, most you could have given him was 2 rounds in the entire fight, and that would be extremely generous.
Hatton's resume is much better. I can actually respect Hatton as a man, he faced all and any. He took L's in the process but he kept his manhood...good for you Ricky, better to get your ass kicked than to be a ***** your whole life...bravo mate....
I agree, this is why I have respect for Ricky and Prince Nazeem, they fought world class opposition. They didn't stay hidden away fighting bums, and then when their career was almost over try to fight some big names who were in their 40's and way past their prime.
That’s actually an interesting question. If you solely look at the names that either of the two beat, without taking into consideration age, then Calzaghe trumps him IMO. Having beat Roy Jones Jr, BHop, Kessler, Lacy (previously undefeated and all the range in the States) and Chris Eubank- that’s a pretty good resume IMO. Of course age does play a huge factor, but on a name basis, I think those names are bigger than Tszyu (which was a fantastic win) Castillo, Collazo and Paulie M.
Calzaghe. Hattons wins compared to Calzaghes wins would be close, but Hatton got KTFO'd twice, whereas Calzaghe was never beaten.
