Hatton just told BBC radio Manchester he is unlikely to fight again. We all knew it anyway I guess, but it is now pretty much official.
He's known this for ages. He's obviously been pandering for a bit of attention...will he won't he. 'oooooo am getting itchy feet'. Bollocks. Good decision though, no need to fight.
If this is the case fair play to him hes alot in the ring and he is well respected, fair play ricky!! G
Yeah Ricky done well. And to go out on his back like that - is the real way to do it. It lets you know when your time is up - and it was time to let it go. He went out against a ATG - as his final fight - so why not leave it like that. Whats this obsession with having to go out on the perfect winning swan song ? He could of lined up a bum to KO in Manchester - but exactly what would that achieve - other than a few more quid - and he dosent need the money. The only stain on his career was ducking Witter - because to him Witter wasnt worth it - risk / reward.
I can just picture the thread title now............ How will Hattons Legacy be effected by ducking Witter ? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.....Last Page : Last post in thread by: GazOC 150 replies / 3000 views.
It is sad that Hatton & Witter never happened, the atmosphere would have been tremendous... well froma Hatton perspective anyway, as you could count Witters fanbase on one hand
