This refusal to **** or get off the pot seems to be a growing trend among fighters who move into the promotional biz (DLH, Wright, Mayweather etc.)

Is it my imagination or were there Hatton-Khan rumors some time in the last year?

Witter would've ****ing spanked him. So underrated. Lost against three great fighters himself; Judah, Bradley and Alexander are not shocking defeats by any stretch of the imagination.

Maybe we should compare the wins instead then?

Probably the most loved fighter since McGuigan.

Gave his all, nothing more required.

    Well done Ricky.

C'mon, he was good for British boxing.

If only a few boxers of today, or of his time (eg Calzaghe) would step in there with the same quality of prime opponent Hatton did, we'd all have a few top level British fights to all look forward to.

Sadly, Froch looks like the only guy who's willing to get near that today.

I really don't get all this totally of mocking of a British fighter for getting in there with prime, top, top draw quality, something that both Pac and Floyd are.

We will all be lucky to see a pretty decent British fighter get in there with that quality of opponent again for a long, long time, the likes of Pac and Floyd don't come along very often.

Yep. I have a special line to listen to Manchester radio.:D Actually I happened to go onto the BBC sports page and the scrolling yellow bar that has breaking news said "Ricky Hatton tells BBC Radio Manchester he probably wont fight again", it has just broken and so they had no actual report on it.

Witter would have been demolished. And I've watched both live more than once too, and Witter was so wide and lethargic on numerous times. He was ****ing dire against Corley who was even worse so Witter won. We were right near ring side and bored to tears.

Hatton lost to two very very fast fighters, one a defensive genius and never been beaten and the other are brutal puncher with both hands who was FAR quicker than Witter and far tighter and less telegraphed.

Alexander is hardly looking like a elite fighter and whilst Witter would have a punchers chance, Hatton at his best could take a decent shot and was more hurt by shots he did not see coming (as with any fighter) and this happened with fast hands or very tight fighters.

Witter wound up his big shots and was wide open to the head and body. He would have been mauled and beaten up.

Who has Witter beaten? Corley and Harris. Harris was one of the easiest calls ever, I was telling every yank he would be starched inside 4 rounds. As it happened it took a little longer, but it was a given from a guy who was knocked cold by Maussa and who had a shaky defence and liked to fight.

Hatton's CV shits all over Witters.

    no doubt.

Typical Hatton. He's just after more attention.
'Wicky 'Atton wishes people would stop putting words in Wicky 'Atton's mouth, Wicky 'Atton is retired for the minute but who knows I might start getting that lickle itch back, you know, ooooooohh, that's just Wicky for you, i'm a jack the wad....working cwass boy from the council estate'.

Still, if he really is finished then he has more time to spend on his luxury cruises around the world and in the Old Trafford executive boxes.

He'll be remembered for being a biscuit-ersed bottlebag with regards to fighting Junior Witter.
