I don`t think it`s going to be a walk in the park for Mayweather for the first 4 rounds. After that he will close the distance, and begin countering with all sorts of punches. He is very crafty, he will bait Canelo into thinking he has something and then when Canelo gets comfortable with it, watch what happens. A good jab can slow Mayweather down, but Canelo dos not have this.

Didn't Oscar Del La hoya also lose when he stepped up to face Maywether & Paq (plus a couple of others - e.g. Trinidad & Mosley), is/was Oscar a bum too?

How would you do against Richy Hatton now? if he's a bum you would win right?

Hatton, a very successful boxer in his days makes a some comments about his previous opponents upcoming fight. loads of ******s on here use it as an excuse to bash him.

    So many twats on here.

  4. Oscar is a bum since he won through robbery against Prime Felix Sturm.

And against Hatton, me?? I don't know .. I step up into HW, with his chin I probably need one jab to knock him out. Would be a rather unfair fight depending on power. He is definetly slicker though and could trouble me with body punches.

They use Ricky to bash Floyd. It's kid **** plain and simple.

If Hatton were not on Floyd's resume they'd admire him.

    Hatton is right,

I just dont think Canelo is that great , I mean when has he looked really impressive??

Mayweather will stop him on cuts in a onesided ass kicking in a fight that has been hyped to ****.

Canelo doesn't cover his body well.
Floyd will be on those ribs like BBQ sauce.

He is wide open for Mayweather's best punch...the jab to the solar plexis..

And he is not as strong as advertised.

Whenever Shane wanted a break he just tied him up or turned him and walked him to the ropes...same with Trout..

Mosley couldn't do that to Floyd. He was too busy getting rag dolled around the ring.

You can't take breaks at your leasure against truly strong fighters.

That's something Canelo is not prepared for..Mayweather's physical strength....not punching power but plain strength.

This is a bad fight for Alvarez

How will this kid respond when he realizes Floyd is stronger than he is?

Canelo couldn't even throw around a shot Mosley.

Trout beat him on the inside and was guiding him around with one hand..

    He is not that strong.

Really? Does FMJ really work the body that much? he doesn't infight enough to be an effective body puncher. Canelo will use a lot of movement in this fight, somewhat like we saw when he fought Trout.

You must watch Floyd fight with your eyes closed.
He is constantly on the body.He jabs to the body all the time.

You watch boxing but you don't pay attention.:deal

As for movement...Canelo doesn't have a lot to use.

If you think he can shoeshine and run to the other side of the ring against Mayweather you are mistaken.

Trout's body attack had Canelo blowing like a steam engine...Floyd's body game is far better than Trout's.

Canelo gives up a LOT of bodyshots...nobody can deny this..nobody paying attention that is.

Floyd is probably the best body puncher in boxing today. Everything is set up from the jab to the body.Do you really not see this?

i would give more credence to what shane has to say about the fight as he has been in the ring with both of them.

i wouldnt put too much into baldomirs opinion as he took the canelito fight on one months notice after not being in the ring for almost a year.

Mosley always been a physically strong dude , this is a guy that was knocking out 170+ pound fighters in mayorga and Vargas 2x . So that does not surprise me....

Trout is a taller , heavy 154 pounder JUST LIKE CANELO .

But Floyd ? No way hes stronger than Canelo , i would love to see him try to push around Canelo when they meet up . Alvarez would gently lift and carry him like his daddy against the ropes like Cotto did .

although tszyu was no longer in his prime hatton beat him.

and he dominated pauli...somoething broner was nowhere near capable of.

to say hatton was not a great 140lber is typical clueless esb jargon.

I know that he wasn't at his best at welterweight, which is why I brought up that example of all the rest I could bring up and discuss. If he was able to give Mayweather fits at a weight where he already proved he's not that good at then that explains how good he is. My post/example was referred to the idiot who called Hatton a bum.

    Hatton is right.
Canelo can't outbox Mayweather. he can't outslug him, and he can't out muscle him either. In this fight we'll get to see how thin Canelo's skin is as Mayweather cuts and busts his face up.
I predict: 9th round stoppage from facial damage when Canelo looks like Vitali after being busted up by Lewis.
