Round 2 Barry McGuigan, Former world featherweight champion, ringside for BBC Radio 5 live "I'd probably shade that to Senchenko. Ricky was a little reckless in that round and didn't land too many shots. The problem for Ricky is he isn't landing his jab. Now Senchenko is feeling a little more comfortable."
As much as I was concerned, Hatton does seem to be able to take the punshiment. Hatton wins round one and three, to lead 29/28. But this fight could be close.
Round 3 - What's the point with the left hook? It's like a kid on the playstation pressing the same button over and over again even when the punch isn't on. Forget that . Left hook catches Senchenko unaware and he staggers slightly. I know the timing is bad but what can you expect after 3 and a half years out. Senchenko landed a good left hook himself, didn't really affect Ricky though. Ricky is making him work really hard. Don't think he fancies the pace. BUt can Hatton keep this up for 10 rounds? 3-0 Hatton
what do people expect the **** has had 3 ****ING YEARS with basically no skills training, imagine any other sport could anyone do that ? no they couldnt but for some reason in boxing you can just do a 12 week training camp, wear clingfilm while on the heavybag, lose 4 stone and you will be just as good as anyone else who has been training 50 weeks of the year for the past 3 years
No defence at all there at the end from Ricky. Worked the body well until the end. Needs to abandon the left hook to the head altogether he's miles off at the minute
Hatton needs to reserve a bit of energy. Senchenko is probably looking to last and attempt to KO Hatton late!
Round 3 Macklin : "This is tuning into a great fight. What a great round of boxing that was. I thought there was more conviction in Ricky's work, but having said that he was getting caught. Maybe he feels he can take Senchenko's power."
still telegraphs all his punches, i genuinely think he has never watched himself fight, or does it while smoking crack
