Fight would've looked like the first 6 rounds of the Maidana fight but for Joe Cortez's interference. I expect Mayweather-Maidana II to be heavily influenced by the referee.

 

Maidana out weighed PBF by damn near 20 pounds while Hatton weighed no more than 6 or 7 pounds more. If Maidana only weighed 6 or 7 pounds more than PBF on fight night he would be schooled and stopped.:deal His weight is key for his bullying wrestling and mauling style.

 

He's not a wrestler at all, if anything it was Floyd doing the holding and wrestling. Maidana didn't maul Floyd, he just took him to the ropes and unloaded, hitting whatever he could.

Floyd got the upper hand in the second half of the fight for two reasons, the first was he finally got Weeks onside who would separate the fighters like Cortez, the second was Maidana's output slowed up.
