I think the Oscar fight with PBF was so close but he fought in bursts because age had crept up on him,i think if Ricky has a look at that fight again he would be happy with wot he saw, belive me Hatton at 100mph for 12 rounds is something PBF as never had to deal with.

Hatton has had stamina problems recently so what makes you think that he will be able to sustain a higher more effective work rate than Oscar?

Thank you,a proper post! i think he has had a problem with motivation against so called easy fighters but when he fights the top fighters he brings is A game, there were other factors around his fights like the lack of time to train against Collazo and the cold he had for his fight with Orango.

Yeah I can see what he could get out of watching the 5'11" boxer/puncher Delahoya, after all Hatton is a 5'6" punch and grab fighter ala John Ruiz:nut

Ok so your a Hatton nuthugger. But lets keep it real. PBF is probably the best conditioned fighter in the game right now. His conditioning along with Hattons is par excellence. There is NOTHING that Hatton presents that Floyd hasnt already dealt with. Be as optimistic as you like but the bottom line is Hatton is going to get opened up like a tin og beans. Be ready to deal with it.

It would be pretty intersting to see how floyd will handle Hattons pressure.:think

The way Hatton can pressure Mayweather IMO is unlike the way anyone else could pressure Mayweather.

Yes, there have been past fights where.. with Gatti.. people were like, Gatti is bigger, blah blah, he will knock Floyd out etc.. and then with DLH, people saying hes too big for Floyd, he will get knocked out, hes never been in with a guy that big blabla..

    BUT

The thing about Hatton is.. he is VERY unique. He is quick enough to land on Mayweather. He has the endurance and aggressiveness to be on Mayweather the whole fight pounding away not giving a **** what Mayweather throws back.

Let's not forget either.. Hatton is also undefeated, and for good reason.. he is a VERY tough cookie. We can assume Hatton will get in the best shape of his life for the fight of his life, and maybe he won't be able to win on skill.. but I feel this will be Floyd's toughest fight EVER in boxing. It will be epic!

a few years ago, I thought Hatton had the stuff to walk over Mayweather. He used to throw LOTS of punches, and bring too much pressure.
His past few fights, Hatton has done more holding and mauling than punching.

If the Hatton of the past few fights shows up, Mayweather will run all night, and score a few pot shots for the win. Hatton will get close, but then Mayweather goes into defense only mode, slips the punches, but it might sway some judges to give Hatton the rounds.
Look for a replay of DLH vs Mayweather, except some of Hatton's punches will actually land.
Mayweather probably gets a close but justifyably deserved decision.

I don't think Hatton can take that much from that fight. I had Mayweather winning extremely easily. Not to mention DLH is also a much different fighter, with much different strengths, than Hatton himself.

floyd is the better boxer by miles, but he's turned into a no risk pot-shotter

it's unlikely floyd will be able to ko hatton, so as long as ricky can maintain a high activity level, that is throw a high volume of punches, then it's possible (and i said possible, so don't get your panties all bunched-up floyd nut huggers) he could outwork floyd and take the ud
