It doesn't have to be a big illuminati/government/commie plot to control mankind (it is, though. Damn Commies). Take the general boxing forum. How often do you see people extoling the merits of guys like Harry Greb or Sam Langford? Even though virtually no footage of these guys exists. Someone said they were good, so the guy they tell says they were good, and it gets passed on and it's never first hand knowledge but is accepted as fact.
