Hatton statement regarding Scott Quigg jumping ship

I think quigg would beat frampton but i dont think he really wants it 2bh

 

I think frampton definitely beats quigg and that quigg and his team probably knew it too and tactically avoided it. Lets be honest quigg needs to be in the uk where he is comfortable training and build a fan base on sky and become a draw, he's not going to be able to do that fighting in the states on gbp cards. Hatton obviously did his best but quigg has to look after himself it's business ultimately.

 

Ironic Hatton isn't happy with Quigg for leaving and this week jumps back into working with the man he left on bad terms years ago in Frank.

I believe now Frank, Hatton and Maloney are deadset on competing and trying to help devise the demise of Hearn and Matchroom. I find it all a bit pathetic TBH and wish everyone would just get on with there jobs.

 

But for Hatton & Maloney getting a tv deal for their promotional outfit is part of their job. Sky won't have them, Channel 5 will barely have Hennessey, where else are they to turn to ?, Eurosport ?, free to view on Primetime ?, Loaded TV online ?

 

Im happy that this means with any luck we may get some more domestic fights on boxnation at least, I can't imagine the deals are going to be especially lucrative though so I'm not expecting big high quality shows just yet.

 

Not saying they shouldn't work with Boxnation. But i believe from Hatton and Maloney both have some hate towards Hearn which should be aimed more at Sky not him and Matchroom.

With regards to the bit you've bolded though i don't see this as relevant to the point you made though. I feel they've allowed there dislike for there demise and Matchroom's rise to creep into there statements. Nowt to do with TV deals..

Hatton and Maloney two years ago couldn't stand Frank now there back under the big mans wing because they know there role :yep.

 

I think allegedly, hatton and Maloney will all have had a look at the way things are going and decided to pool their resources. Naturally hatton and Maloney won't be sending eddie any Xmas cards, especially when you think quigg was fighting on sky for hatton not long ago. It's all sorted now anyway, if Hearn can cut a deal with Coldwell and get McDonnell on sky too then at least all the main British promoters would have a tv platform which can only be good news. With all the signings matchroom have made Eddie may well push for more dates and get rid of prizefighter finally, from a fans perspective it could be very positive.

 

Digressing a bit as I know this is a Hatton thread. but I thought they, Frampton and Quigg, both wanted to box each other. All we seem to hearing now from numerous sources is that Quigg isn't so keen after all.

 

Unlike Hearn who believes in prosperity for all of course! Hearn's mission statement was to become the sole big time promoter in this country, which means putting all the others out of business and just having little Coldwell style feeder clubs. This is Sky's hope too so erm they started it by invaded Poland so to speak in their big Sky tank.

 

Frampton beats Quigg and I think he and his team know it.

 

i dont understand why everyone thinks frampton walks through quigg? they are both operating at the same level and neither has a bigger name then the other on there resume.

 

Not too long ago Carl was thought of as the outsider out of the three of them and most used to chuckle when Barry went on and on about how amazing Carl was and what he was going to do. People have short memories.

 

Just shows that Hatton was doing the best he could. The fact that Quigg was turning down US opportunities surely means that Hearn was reeling Quigg in long before he landed him, no doubt he would have fed Quigg straight to Frampton if he still had Frampton too!

 

I think its a def 50/50 fight. That's why its such a shame that it looks like it won't happen for a few years.

The end of the day all of these promoters should get on with there own work including Hearn. If all them other promoters were offered sole shows on Sky they'd of taken it.

Hearn was lucky enough and also good enough IMHO to look to take sky shows back into big arenas. I think it's worked out for the best now honestly. Plenty of shows on both platforms with varied content. I'm happy. Hope Boxnation thrives, I'm a guy that supports all promotions as long as they look to do the best. It's a shame it's now become team for team.
