If you get on ITV then it means they plug you on their other shows and advertise during programmes people actually watch. Can just see Scott Quigg going down a treat on This Morning, having a bit of a play fight with Phillip Schofield or something. The problem Channel 5 have is that nobody watches channel 5 to see the adverts for the fights. If channel 5 can do 3 million, ITV can easily do 5 million with the same fight.

DJ you nailed it, especially with the advertising on This Morning (Coronation Street, etc, Champions League, FA Cup footy). Channel 5 for me is rubbish I only watch The Wright Stuff and boxing, and NFL if it's on.

There is no way that ITV are going to put on fights at a decent hour on Saturday nights because they have much more attractive and cheaper options in that timeslot. ITV4 would be as good as it gets on ITV for Hatton for all but the top fights.

If Channel 5 signed Hatton I suspect the advertising would be increased for the boxing which is in its infancy for the network.

He should go with channel 5 from a fan point of view it will be easier to make fights happen with Hennessey's stable. Boxnation doesn't really get you enough exposure unless your chisora, but he's done that all himself by acting like a loon.

Exactly. When someone talks about lots of options reality is usually don't have any on horizon.

ITV is never gonna get involved unless its for Joshua post-Olympics (and even then I'm not sure).

Channel 5 is possible but depends how popular non-Fury shows have been. Good as some of his fighters are he doesnt have names general sports fans know.

My money would be on Boxnation - cant think would get great deal there though.

itv wouldnt be interested on a saturday they bang out talent shows and ant n dec

bbc have talent shows and match of the day

and neither av shown any interest in boxing for years anyway

every1 raved about the ratings for brook hatton but it was a day when motd only had like 1 game on

maybe boxing should move to a friday night to stop these clashes or do more shows in the summer when theres no football instead of shutting down for 6 weeks

ITV Have enough channels that are all available on freeview. Hope Hatton can secure something on ITV3. The only problem being with all the extra channels is potential clashes with Box nation and sky.

ITV or Channel 5. Terrestrial tv needs more boxing.

Channel 5 would probably be the best bet. At least they have shown an interest in the sport and talk is they want to show more Boxing anyway.

**** ITV, they had their chance and kept dropping it.

lets be honest, froch was even on the bbc, had his career defining fights on itv with decent figures, and still didnt have a huge fanbase. his style and personality just arent that likeable.
