He's a tiresome, predictable, overly sentimental, immature nationalist who still seems to think of the English as the "Auld enemy". It's not Hatton's personality that Dunky dislikes but rather his nationality.

My favourite bit was "overly sentimental"

Its cos boxing is my favourite sport, so guilty as charged I do tend to get a wee bit emotional when posting.

Interesting to see only one poster giving me an argument about Hattons defence(or lack of it IMO) & even then it was seriously flawed. I mean, paulie Malignaggi? The guy was rubbish. I predicted a Hatton KO win here before the fight & once again was proven right.
However, in the first two rounds even Malignaggi was jabbing Hattons head off until he tired, & Hatton used his aggression & strength to wear down the Paulie.
For anyone to claim that fight as Hatton 'defensive mastery' are sadly deluding temselves.

Hatton huggers defence of Hattons defence is almost as bad as Hattons defence!

Its not my fault that team Hatton hired a mug to replace 'preacher man' so stop taking out your anger on me.

Malignaggi was the consensus #1 challenger and second ranked guy in the division. I predicted a Hatton stoppage due to styles and fair play to you if you did as well. However, this does not automatically mean the opponent was no good. Malignaggi has a fine jab and may have landed it a few times early while Hatton found his range, however, once he worked him out that was it, Hatton dominated. As for Paulie "tired", a young, fit fighter for whom the 12 round distance is almost second nature tired from the second round onwards? Struggle to believe that, especially when he was still pushing Cotto hard in the last 3 rounds.

Hatton is never going to be Willie Pep, however, he showed me improved patience and some semblance of lost head movement and thinking his way in with that fight. Mayweather snr will need to work on that from whole new angles to negate Pac's straight left which is his main weapon, however, he is no fool and will work on it you can guarantee that. Whether it is enough remains to be seen but still, ten days and I can't wait...
