90% of his career has been tune ups. By your admmision then you acknowledge Witter is too stern a test for him and worth dodging?

why would I want him to dodge it, I want to see the fight, but that isnt what I said, is he not entitled to a tune up after being brutally ko'd?

I'm okay with him taking a tune-up fight, I'm okay with him fighting Malignaggi. But what is up with the excuses? First it was the ref, now it's the weight? That's a poor excuse considering Floyd offered to fight Ricky Hatton when they both was at 140, but Ricky TURNED IT DOWN...

And if Ricky only cared about a challenge he would have fought Witter years ago...

Hatton is reeling after a HUGE loss on the world's big stage. He will want to fight Mali b/c there is no chance for him to get KO'd. The only danger that fight would hold is the spread of Hatton's herpes to Mali. I'm sure Mali's gallons of hair gel will have some sort of STD/anti viral in it.

hatton fans are becoming like mayweather fans, they want hatton to make the most money while fighting the easiest fighters, like it somehow benefits them.

If he needs a tune up then **** it take the tune up. But he said his only fighting TWICE this year. That means Lazcano 1st and paulie second. So we must wait an 8th year and near on a decade for a bout that could have happened when i was a teenager? Are you ****ing kidding me? We`ve heard every excuse from the sun not shining bright enough to Witter calling him names. Does he really think boxing fans are that stupid? The kid is an insult to boxing has no integrity whatsover, is a fraud, a scam artist, a charlatan, and an insult to any thinking persons intelligience. 1st it is was the WBU. Then it was Frank Warren. Now its the weight and Witter calling him names?! **** OR GET OFF THE ****ING POT!

His bout with Stephen Smith was also a unification. Of the IBU WBU variety. That was world class action right there until his dad ran into the ring and tried to beat up Mickey Vann.

Mayweather cherry picks a little, but for people in GB to say Hatton isn't the #1 guy is CRAZY. Hatton has to clean up his own home before fighting anyone else.

PBF gets a bly only because his risen in weight barely lost a round, is the best fighter on the planet and has the resume to prove it. When you that good you can pick and choose. But when you have a guy who`s had more smoke blown up his ass than a drag racer and a pro`s pro has been on his coat tails all his career and he plainly refuses to fight him on the most pathetic grounds you`ve heard of then it MUST come out in the wash.

Thats how it worked in the old days. But i was told by Hatton jocks not to see the world through rose tinted lens. He had the balls to fight Magee. But he widely avoided Witter like the plague lest his apple cart get upset.

Except for the Brits no one wants to see Hat at 147 stinking out the arena holding on for dear life and getting drubbed again...I would however love to see him against Mosely or Zab or Margarito how about Cintron or a little Qiuntana, how about Berto or even Collazo again, how about proving you deserve a damn rematch at 147. Better yet down at 140 and fight either Witter or Torres or just retire.

Hatton doesn't want to fight the guy b/c if he loses, then its all over. The hype machine that boosted him to the top will drop him quicker than PBF did. Hatton knows this and that is why he won't fight him. I mean think about it... Nobody knows the history of Witter/Hatton... the world doesn't know Hatton refuses to fight someone in his own neighborhood. If that was exposed not just in GB, but the whole world, then Hatton would be forced to fight him. Or lose all credibility.

Agreed. Except there is NO hype machine behind Witter. His simply earnt his shot and deserves it. If this fight never happens i hope History will be kinf enough to remember him as nothing more than a belt holder and a foot note in welterweight history.

Definitely true that Hatton has one more shot. If he gets ktfo again, he's done. The Mayweather thing is a joke: blame the referee because you were made to look like a club fighter in front of millions of people? Hatton will never fight Mayweather again. And if he's so eager to headbutt the ringpost again, why doesn't he offer PBF the entire purse. That might entice him.
