You're typical of many United fans TFFP, you can't debate football without the Red Mist decending and affecting your opinions.

Eduardo having a broken leg last year is irrelevent, nobody is suggesting we make real life swaps here, just who is the better partnerships and striking partnerships are supposed to score goals.

EDIT: I see you are about to move goalposts again and trying to include Ronaldo....

And Rooney/Tevez's goal output for the season is in the same realm as any of these. I think you've delusionally got yourself into this mindset that they aren't out and out goalscorers, therefore no way they match Torres/Somebody crap, Adebayor/guy with broken leg. Check the stats.

And how many chances do Rooney and Tevez put on a plate for other players?

So given their overall play, and the stats not being worlds apart, I'm quite happy to take Rooney and Tevez thank you very much. If Berbs is on his way United will be unstoppable.

So you DO think United will be a better team with Berbatov?

I've no idea how many goals Rooney/ Tevez 'put on a plate' for other players (do you???), is it likely to be more than other strike partnerships? I suppose thats a silly question to ask a Man United fan...

If you can't admit that that partnership was propped up by Ronaldos goals last season then I give up.....even the most fervant fan should be able to see that.

As it stands he is on our squad list, so until that changes I'm not too worried :yep

I'll be confident even if he goes.

I just realised how futile all these striker comparisons are. We are the only ones with the guts to play two genuine strikers anyway.

yeah, wenger's a wuss playing adebayor, van persie, rosicky, hleb and fabregas in the same team.

He played Adebayor on his own most of the time, but I'm sure van Persie will start next season, class player, bit of a twat.

I was thinking more about Chelski and Pool. Bore the other team into submission seems to be Modus Operandi.

My prediction for next year: If Ronaldo goes, Rooney back in MF and Tevez/ Berbatovs (or 'Berbs' as he's already affectionatly known) up front. Fergie knows that frontline needs fixing even if the his fans don't.

U know that ronaldo's going to Oldham and Not real madrid. Really if you buy berbatov, u could probably do the treble. This coming from a anti -united fan. Don't fancy selling scholes to latics do you.

Rooney in midfield??? Hmm its been suggested b4 but i dont see it
Ronaldo would get a pie thrown at him if he ever stepped foot in side BP, Scholes on the other hand.....

I especially like mouthy old, *******s who have come up the hard way, paid their dues & earned the right to be mouthy *******s. Yes I do like Haye but I wouldn't put him in the same category as Hopkins & Fergie. He's too pretty for a start.:p
