Note his goals per game dropping as the competition gets stronger :D

Bearing in mind a great goalscorer in the mould of Henry, Ruud, Ronaldo, Shearer would be scoring 1 in 1.5 games when at their peak, Berbatov's 1 in 2.5 games just doesn't match up really...

Come on Gaz you know I'm an objective sort :yep

Seriously, it is a question I would like answered properly, and there is little chance of that in the general which is filled with American haters.

There is a pretty decent balance here :good

My Joe Calzaghe - Bernard Hopkins thread did a good job I felt of presenting JC's case....

This board is about debate and discussion. I want to learn, the Hatton question I'm going to ask is really something I would like answered.

So German is stronger than International, playing for ****in Bulgaria?

I would never say Berbatov is a goal scorer in that mould anyway, and never will be. If he manages 0.5 goals per game, which he is already pretty close to overall at lesser teams he'll be a goal scorer in my book. That's using cold hard stats, not your bull**** subjective factors

As a side note he had more assists than any United player last year too.

Yes I agree. Rooney's finishing last season was atrocious.

I know your new to boxing, you might learn something.

Seriously, I'm objective about this sort of thing. Wait and see.

Onourway probably isn't new to boxing, he is just extremely dense and focuses all his attention towards Ricky Hatton. He's looking at the boxing world through a little misty window like on a ship. A sinking ship too.

I once saw a list of who Berbatov scored his international goals against and had to get my map to find most of the countries, it wasn't a list to be proud of.

Yeah thats why I made that assumption tbh.

The truth is, my thread is not intended to rip on Hatton, more to put into a context how signficant his achievements are.

    TFFP.

I know you don't like that Hatton beat 'shot' fighters in Tszyu and Castillo.

Now Calzaghe is nearing the end and he could face a P4P top 10, undefeated, near prime Pavlik and instead is facing the shot Jones, what do you think...?
