After the Lazcano fight which Hatton should win providing he's not already on the decline (and that's a possibility) he could be in with a great chance of cleaning up at 140. The only one I see a top form Hatton struggling with is Witter.

So should he end up unifying 140 and then retiring what would that then do for his legacy as he's seen by many on here to be an overrated bum?

Fighting Lazcano is a good start  :patsch

Rees and Torres wanted the fight badly and Hatton didnt take it, well done is better than well said

hatton wont unify the belts... in order to do that he would have to stop ducking witter

Since he is already the champion at 140 there is no need to unify .
There is of course the need to fight the best opponents possible though and while you can give Hatton a gimme as he is coming off a loss fighting for the title at the weight above you do have to say that he should face Witter before the year is out and that any fight that isn't Witter should be a quality fighter(Torres , Malignaggi etc) .

Nah I say he should fight Lazcano, Malignaggi, and Torres this year, and then Witter early next year in his last fight. Witter is the only one of these "Champoins" that I don't see getting beat in the near future so fight him last. That way he can actually unify the division, instead of wait for some new champoin to first have a coupl of money fights before he takes a risk.

Oh and Kotelnik is in their as well. He would be another good guy to fight. But unfortunently I just don't see that fight happening because he's not a big demestic draw in britain and he's not known in the US the way the others are.

Most light welters would of fought that Tszyu, Tszyu was never a very active champion and struggled when his distance was taken away from his right hand.

Castillo was clearly picked the right time, the guy struggles to make weight alot more now and was coming off wars to Corrales and others before that. He struggled with Ngoujo too and was never established at Light Welter.

Not many would think different of a fighter If they fought Floyd too but It pays well fighting him.

Witter would seriosly damage Hatton he hits harder than Floyd and can do southpaw which Hatton has no answer for, Hatton looks bad against counter punchers and has shown he's not as good as he was made out to be.

Witter Is the best Light Welter and doesn't need a crappy magaazine belt to say that.:yep

Hatton only doesn't belong at Welter because his skills are ****, he still was pushing them back showing he has strength there.

I agree it's logical to fight Junior, but Ricky has'nt been ducking him,the fight has never been financially better for him to take until now...Juniors stock is up and there would be interest in the fight in the U.S now where there would'nt have been over the last couple of years......Ricky would murder him and paulie anyhow,I can't believe people have bought into Witters bull****.
