    For me this is all about levels and I just feel Pac is a level above Hatton. His hand and foot speed, movement at the waist and power will be too much for Hatton whose only real 'improvement' shown in the Paulie fight was the rediscovery of his jab and a slightly more measured approach.

    I think Hatton will be caught in a catch 22 in this fight. If he stands off and tries not to smother his work he'll be eating leather because Pac is most effective at mid-range but if he gets angry again and forgets the game plan it makes it more likely he'll get knocked out.

    I think the southpaw stance is also something that will prove difficult for Hatton to cope with and I'm predicting a pretty brutal KO between rounds 7 and 9.

    I hand on heart think Hatton will win this one with a bit to spare. manny is yet to beat a decent fighter above 130, now he is fighting a strong strong strong 140lber. A deceptively fast 140lber to boot. No one really knows how Pac is going to react to being in a mauling brawling type of fight. The Morales fights were ferocious , but they were still very technical. This fight will i think be vicious and physically draining. I think Hatton stops Pac by the 6th.

    You are right Jeff...the man just plods backwards and forwards in straight lines with his chin in the air, its a wonder he got above area level :-(

    Hatton will have some dodgy moments, but i think he will come through due to him fighting at that weight his whole career. it will be a bruising fight but i see hatton winning in the championship rounds.

    good post, ive thought hattons been on the slide since the mayweather loss too, and while i dont agree he's shot, i wasnt impressed with his wins over laszcano and malinaggii either, and in my opinion he's even looked a little different somehow, but maybe thats just me. but agree the bad living between fights catching up with him could be a factor too. but sating that i still see him winning this fight, your right he's not the hatton of 2005 but i still think he'll have too much for pac. too big, too strong. i'm going with hatton by stoppage mid-way through the fight, probably from body shots as has been already suggested.

    Hatton isn't shot at all..... amazing how a few below par performances lead many to believe a guy is done!

    Shot to me is Roy Jones, Jeff Lacy..... people were even saying Mosley was shot after his weakass 'effort' against Mayorga!

    How ironic!

    Yeah there so underrated that the only time he'll step into the ring with a live body is when $10M is on the line or the opponent is too old to remember how to throw a jab. You guys are a joke.

    :lol::lol: You call that farce cutting off the ring? I saw the rules flouted without the ref penalising him. I saw Hatton walk forwards in straight lines. The clinic that your alluding too is bull**** pure and simple.

    maybe I was over the top saying hatton is shot

    let me rephrase

    since the Mayweather fight he has .................."been on the downward slide"

    Tough crowd. Having two fights, winning both, looking a little lacklustre in the first but dominating and stopping your number 1 contender in the second fight is being on a downward slide?

    I suppose its better than "shot" though.......
