bradley very overrated IMO. He barely beat an unmotivated Witter whos father had been diagnosed with cance a few days before, i think witter beats him in a rematch. I think Hatton whoops him!
Ridiculous post. Bradley was like a 8/1 underdog and clearly won that fight. I don't want to hear bull**** excuses about his father. Buster Douglas' mother died and he went out and knocked Mike Tyson out. And how is Bradley very overrated?
The Bradley - Witter fight was close, Bradley only won by a couple of rounds, if Witter can make a few adjustments then he could beat Bradley, and Witter is not what he use to be, his reflexs have faded and he is no longer catching fighters with the awkward angled shots like he once did, but he is a good boxer with fast hands and good footwork and respectable power, thats why i feel he can beat Bradley even if his skills arnt what they were 2 or 3 years ago. Bradleys performance was ok, he won clearly and i guess did what was expected, but i was impressed in his counter punching and suprised by his work rate and fitness in the Witter fight, and in the Cherry fight he didnt impress or show anything that made me think he is world class, he is in my eyes on Malignaggis level.
To be fair, bad news like that effect different people in different ways, so it is a fair excuse, but Witter is a proffesional, and if he wasnt mentally prepared then he should have delayed the fight, simple, so his own fault.
I Just rewatched the Witter Fight and frankly I have no idea how it was even close to a split decision. You Guys really need to watch it again. At the time it looked closer then it was because no one knew who Brad;ey was and there was a lot of hype around witter after the Harris KO but honestly he got bossed for pretty much twelve rounds. The other thing that I got a better appreciation for is just howmuch of an educated boxer Bradley is. He really doesnèt make any mistakes that I can see. He has a wide verriety of punches that he can throw on the counter or to initiate the fight. I mean this is how bat he was owning Witter: He was actually throwing a punch just to get Witter (a supposedly world class counter puncher) to try to counter him. Then after throwing his own punch he would Counter Witter's counter. He honestly was doing that from round one to twelve. You wonder why Witter had such a bad fight...well because by the 5th round he couldn't initiate without getting hit with a right hand and he couldn't counter without getting hit with a right hand. ****ing Fan tastic. .....All this being said Hatton ****ing kills this Kid unless he falls a asleep or the guy lands a lucky punch on a tired Hatton. The biggest thing Hatton is underated for is his Foot speed. Hatton would just move in on him too fast for Bradley to counter and from there he'd mall the **** out of him. Heèd just never let him get set and I don't care what you say about bradley's physical strength its good, he's solid but he's shorter then Rickly and I'd love to see those wieght lifter muscles go twelve rounds with a bigger Ricky Hatton leaning on him all night. P.S. HAven't seen the Cherry fight. If someone has a link to it I would love to watch it but I can't find it on google.
I 100% agree. Right now yes Bradley would seem to have an excellent skill set. And does seem to have many things in his tool box that would trouble hatton. But If the last week should have taught us anything its that you can't count on guys who look like world beaters against B- fighters being the goods against the elite. Guys like Malignaggi and Molitor on paper had the types of games to beat their opponents but when they step up can it was seen that they just couldn't do what made them affective against the elite.
you didnt see the fight then, or dont know what domination means. he won fairly clearly, wider than the cards said, but no way he dominated him.
I dont think he means donminated in the hit him with a lot of punches sense. I think he means in the had an answer for everything sense.
Witter was appalling that night, and a disgrace, Bradley is very over rated, but a decent fighter. nothing more
Paulie didn't even look like a world beater against B level comp. He was awful against Ngoudjo and N'Dou the second time. Witter is much better than those two and Bradley worked him over. Bradley is set to take on the winner of Torres/Holt next. It's going to be hard to keep doubting this kid if he beats either one of them in impressive fashion.
can i get a link to that Bradley-Witter fight? still haven't seen it yet but heres the Bradley-Cherry (props to original uploader) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8V3BE99H
