All I've seen of this one is the rib-breaking devastating finish by Hatton. What happened in the rest of the fight?
Hatton bullied him for two rounds comfortably. Castillo came into a bit in the 3rd, had a bit of success. Then in the 4th, Hatton was constantly trying to work into a position for that punch and then....bang!
Now you've mentioned that I remember reading Hatton saying he felt he had the measure of Castillo strength wise straight away, so he got to work early doors.
Yea, the idea he and Graham had was that Hatton would fight quite cautiously early on and then press later on. Then Hatton got in the ring, realised he could dominate Castillo, so he ended up crawling all over him and the rest is history.....
what do you mean by that Robbi? You're one of the most fanatical and repected guys around this forum, and I don't recall you rubbishing any fighters.
I love the way the Scots appreciate English fighters. As far as I remember Hatton was beating Castillo to the punch and landing pretty often; much to Castillo's displeasure! Castillo did look like a fighter somewhat past his best though.
Yeah thats how I saw it too. Though it was clear that Castillo was well past his best, im not sure it was down to the furore about his fee, but the look in his eyes said he didnt want it.
Hatton 10-9 Hatton 10-9 Even 10-10 KO That's how I saw it. To be honest, Castillo wasn't that bad - had the punch not came until say the 8th round, and the scores were 78-74, JLC would have received nowhere near the level of criticism he copped post fight IMO.
robbi respected. i've heard em all now. he likes his counter punches does robbi. just leave him be. :yep
