Just read that Hatton turned down a chance to fill in for Mayweather in Sept. (not sure if this is old news, but it's the first I've heard of it)

Wise decision, if it is true.

Never heard of it before, thanks for the news. Here's an article from another site.

Hatton would need more time to prepare?

If his camp are considering a fight with De La Hoya AT ALL, they require a severe dose of reality.

Aww Daddy Didnt Want His Baby To Get Hurt...so Instead He Takes On The Smaller Easier Fight. This would be a good match though however it is unknown if Hatton is sliding down the road towards retirement. Pac on the other hand looks to be in his prime.

Wise indeed, Hatton to move up to Light Middleweight or even Welterweight again?, silly offer.

The "smaller easier fight" that had already been agreed upon BEFORE Floyd decided to retire. Again.

    Think before you post.

Apologies, I was under the impression you knew who Hatton was fighting next.

to anyone who says 'the bookies are always right', I tell you this. Right after the PBF loss and next fights were being mentioned, 2 UK sportsbooks made Hatton-DLH a 50/50 fight.

Hatton will not take this fight at any point, he's get smashed by a past it DLH and he knows it...he'll stick to cherrypicked paper champs at 140.

    You consider Paulie "cherry picked?"

absolutely. He fits the Hatton opponent profile perfectly. Made his name in a beatdown loss, to a drained Cotto I might add. Got a consensus gift against Ngoujou and looked shite against Ndou. He looked a real clown.

Malignaggi is #2 at the weight.

I know you always wanted Hatton fight the #2 at the weight, what's the problem?
