Can't believe there's no posts on this yet...maybe everyones fed up of the whole "should he retire or not" debate, but it looks as though he will carry on...so is this a good opponent for Hatton, and us fans. Can he win? or is there someone else he should fight i.e. Witter, Khan, Bradley etc...?

Will this be for the "pound for pound title"?

The fight makes sense really, both coming off losses, one a massive knockout and one an embarassingly one sided 12 round schooling (not that theres any shame in losing to Floyd though I doubt JMM will be happy with his performance), a good payday for both, doesnt really excite me though to be honest.

    JMM should win.

I'd trot along to this as a last opportunity to see JMM in the flesh...the passing of a legend

Wouldn't turn my nose up at this. I'd be happy to see Hatton in one last meaningful bout and would love to see Marquez in the flesh before he retires. Could even see Hatton with a chance at 147.

If it was in Manchester i'd try to get myself a ticket...not to see Hatton...i'd only be going to witness one of the finest fighters of my lifetime perform. It would be emotional to see him box. I doubt i get a ticket but i try that's for sure. Missed Barrera but can't let this opportunity pass me by if they get it for over here..which they should...as it be better for all i think.

Good fight if Ricky can get in any kind of shape. Who would be training him though, Lee Beard?? Golden Boy connections make this a goer.

Agreed:good. JMM is one of the guys who really got me hooked on boxing and the chance to see him live would be awesome. My favourite fighter by west country miles:deal. JMM wins this as well, IMO; just to point out, I'm not nuthugging JMM again, I just think his precise, counterpunching style would be more than effective against Hatton:good.

Hatton will get beat by any of the top fighters these days, I think he would put up a fight with Marquez but he would get beat in the end most probably stopped... Whos going to train Hatton by the way ??

Ricky Hatton will train Ricky Hatton.

He might as well, because he never listens to any ****er in the corner, hasn't done for years

  14. He needs a decent training camp... Maybe 3-4 months.. lol.. He looks huge now.. He's going on holiday after christmas. How big is he gonna be when he returns from holiday!

  15. Lee Beard I imagine.
