Right now Ricky is overweight, he is tripple chinned. And we still have chirstmas to look forward to, Ricky aint going to stop eating pork pies just yet.

Once Christmas is over, Ricky takes the entire family on the annual new year Hatton Cruise, Ricky aint going to lay off the booze on that ship. By which time he will be in a worse state than that Fat Yank Arreola.

So looking at things realistically, Ricky will not start to train until February, he then has Feb, Mar, April, May (4 months) to loose minimum 5 stone.

    Can anyone see this happening?

Not a good fight for Ricky. I think he'd get ktfo. He needs a softer fight first.

Of course he will lose the weight, he always piles on the pounds but comes into the ring in great shape. However, he will also lose the fight.

By the time the holidays are over he will probably be 190. Then like always he will make the weight. JMM still stops him though.

Not that I'm the skinniest guy in the world or anything, but I don't understand how anyone who gets paid to be in steller shape and use their body to pull in millions would allow himself to get so badly out of shape. I think it's getting to the point where it's dangeriously unhealthy for him to keep doing this!

JMM should try to get his fourth division title, and then go back down to 135 and reign supreme for 5 years:good

No, this is different. By June he will have had 13 months out of the ring, he has never had a gap that long. Previously he has had 3 chins in between fights, now he has 4. He can not get back in prime shape this time.

I tend to agree, Richard. The weight loss - if at all achievable - will leave him quite severely depleted. I'd guess it's going to be hard for him to get off the booze as well. It's usually a 3-month binge followed by 3 months of training. This time it will be a binge of 9 months, preceded by a KO which rendered him unconscious for several minutes. The combined effect of the KO (+ the cumulative effect of the punches taken throughout his career) and excessive alcohol intake will no doubt have seriously compromised his central nervous system and ANY future fight could be extremely hazardous to his health, let alone one against such a pinpoint-accurate counter-puncher as JMM. Since the night of the Pac fight, I've said Ricky should never fight again.

When Hatton goes to work he works hard. He'll lose the wait, but i want to him in training before I make my pick
