i said this b4 the Pac-DLH fight: "Both Pacman and JMM would beat Hatton, and i'm 100% sure Pac would KO him, and JMM might stop him late too"....people thought i was crazy, dont say that crazy no more though huh?

2 different calibers of fighters, i dont care how big Hatton is...JMM would win if they ever got in the ring

 

I think Hatton would KO him. Hatton could pressure him, rough him up on the inside and score a late TKO after JMM is a bloody mess.

The key for JMM is he has to land something big early I think he has the power to hurt Hatton and if he did that then Hatton would start to think and we could have a completely different fight.

 

Diaz puts much more pressure than Hatton and he throws much more punches while Hatton as of lately only throws one punch at a time,i think JMM would go through some rough patches early cause of Hattons strenght but once he figured him out it would be over for Hatton either by late stoppage or clear decision.

 

I'm the same as you - big JMM fan + I don't like Hatton at all.

But like you I think it would indeed be a step too far for Marquez at this stage of his career.

Diaz IS a better pressure fighter than Hatton FACT. When was the last time you saw Hatton even pressure an opponent? Circa 2000 or so back in his WBU days. Diaz throws dozens of combinations. Hatton does not. He throws a big hook falls in and grapples. He doesnt even infight anymore.

 

i 2nd this....Hatton obviously hits harder but, Diaz takes a better shot, throws more punches, faster punches, more techinically refined, and just keeps ****in coming

 

exactly,some of these Hatton huggers talk about Hatton like hes Henry Armstrong with this pressure ****,all he does is walk forward throw a punch and grab,the some with the infight stuff they talk like hes the second coming of Chavez but he does nothing inside the only thing he does is grab.

 

i agree with the thread starter. and hatton has better chin than diaz. if he can take jmm's punches, he will eventually connect.

however, if pac wins and softens up hatton. jmm can take his chances with hatton win or lose as his last fight for retirement.
