Katsidis has the ability to hurt Hatton.

Hatton should sit back and count the money because this is a fight that if he loses will confirm to many people that he was average and if he wins will encourage him to fight on.

Would be a good farewell fight but guys at the stage of their career Hatton was at getting knocked out that heavily should hang em up.

It would be good fight but I think Hatton has had enough. He doesn't need a brutally strong guy mugging him all night long. And it might be worse for Hatton because Katsidis wouldn't put him out of his misery early. It would be a long, punishing fight that Hatton would probably get hurt in.

Katsidis by knockout. It doesn't look like Hatton can take a punch anymore.

This would be a great fight. Hatton and Katsidis match up like Gatti and Ward. I wouldn't be too quick to say Katsidis would damage RIcky - remember he is the one coming up from 135 and he's no Manny Pacquiao. Hatton should take this fight. It's a much more pleasing styles match up than a potential fight with Junior Witter would be.

Not that it affected his bank balance but I do wonder if Hatton regrets not fighting Witter instead of some of his WBU title fights? Would have been a good fight but one I still say that Witter's A game wins...

I feel ricky is in the best shape of his life. its weird how people base everything on the outcome of the fight and not the physical performance of the fighter. I think a prime hatton would never have beaten pacquiao but he has the ability to go past the 2nd round but enevitabley get knocked out.

he has learned that lil bit more from floyd senior and I think as of now he is in the best shape he's ever been

As a Yank looking at this "rivalry" from the outside - I think Hatton should fight Witter before he retires. A good bad blood match up would do wonders to reinvigorate his career. Even De La Hoya said he would never fight Fernado Vargas - but there was such a great rivalry there that the fight had to happen - and it did. Hopefully we'll see these two settle it in the ring sooner rather than later.

hatton should retire...he can't take shots like he used to. he's getting chinny and it would be humiliating and terrible way to exit the sport if he got caught flush and KO's by Katsidis or Witter both of whom he woulda handled before the PBF fight.
