Hatton v Maidana

Maidana is not big on body shots but ten again who knows which hatton would turn up. Hatton was good but i think he gets overrated by many people on here, plenty of brit fighters better than him

 

I think Maidana of recent times would stop Hatton in 7.

 

On their A-game....Hatton. Great body puncher and relentless fighter. Maidana can be great but even at his best he gets hurt and always shows weaknesses.

Hatton wins. Underrated speed, better skills, and a strong body attack, which has been Maidana's kryptonite to some extent over his career, would carry the day for him. It would be a very interesting fight though.

 

Maidana all day - like ricky a lot but he was packing SERIOUS british glass. Mayweather's feather fists got their only KO in about ten years with this fight. Think about it...

Lazcano and collazo both had him hurt (british ref outright saved him in one of those fights), Senchenko ICED him to the body, and obvisouly we're not even going to bring up the many fight.

I realize all the above fights were at WW - but I give a slight edge to maidana at 140 as well. At 147 hes too big and rugged for ricky. Maidana is a C class brawler but he'll always handle a small pressure fighter.

Maidana has been down more times than Ricky and against lesser fighters

and as for being iced to the body, Khan near done Maidana in the first round...if you can't handle a Khan body shot...good luck with Hatton

A C class brawler? He's very good at what he does. Just because he's a brawler doesn't mean isn't a good fighter.

Matthew couldn't live with Maidana.

 

Matthew went the distance with Saul and actually had the last word in the 12th round
