I was very dissapointed with the stoppage....

However I do wonder why Maliggnagi was throwing very little... I think we'll soon come to here how his hands were busted up after the first round and that's why he couldn't throw punches...

Hatton would've beat him regardless.... but the stoppage was wrong on many fronts.... for fans, for the fighters (paulie at least), for the viewers who had paid money to see a "fight" and for those who bet on paulie lasting the 12 (based on his Cotto-fight). No way did Paulie get beat more than in the cotto fight....so i don't understand the stoppage unless there's an injury that we don't know about....it's not like paulie was being brutally punished.

Actually it was after 9 i had it scored and it was 6-2 and 1 even

Gave the 1st and 4th to Paulie

Worst fight iv had the displeasure of staying up for in 3 years since Taylor-Hopkins.

Paulie was terrible as i say and Hatton just that bit better.

And yes i could be classed as a Hatton hater, but im right in saying he doesnt know how to box , his fighting skills are very average, his chin is open, his head movement is still non exsistance, he walks onto punchs and in general is a very very suspect fighter.....

Im not saying any more on him, Doggland so would you be for or against him fighting Oscar at 147 in the $$$ spinning, considering you think he should stay at 140?

And its nothing to do with nationality, if he was Irish id still hate his gimmick and style of fighting but only difference is id try support him regardless

I have seen alot of Paulie and believe he could rise it to N'Dou 1 or even the level he was at against Cotto and give Hatton alot to think about

It was for all intensive purposes, going through the motions from both fighters

And then in Mosley's next fight he went life and death with Mayorga.

Im a big fan of both Cotto and Hatton but i would say Cotto has the better resume than Hatton overall, but Hatton's win over Tszyu is better than Cotto's win over Mosley.

Both Tszyu and Mosley where past their best but Tszyu was coming off a demolition of the number 2 in the division (alot of yanks thought he was number 1) in Sharmba Mitchell. Mosley has been quiet for some years imo.

Hatton should stay at 140 and fight Bradley, Holt, and Judah. I dont think fighting at 147 is a very sensible option as his defense is still awful. Against Marg, Cotto, Pac, DLH, Williams, Berto, Mosley, etc. he would get KO'd.

Hatton is going after the big money at the expense of his legacy

I apologise for calling anyone and everyone ignorant.... i was the ignorant one as Paulie never should a chance of beating Hatton after round 2 when he got hurt

Still doesnt mean i think Hatton is good, cause hes not:bart

Don't mean to be rude but you're talking nonsense, I won't be basing my opinions of boxers on what you think... you lack the mental clarity to separate the facts from what you want to happen, I'm afraid.

Hatton is good by any measure, he is without question the premier 140 fighter and has been no.1 in the division for a few years. Unless I'm missing the hordes of other British fighters to accomplish this?

hatton is class man, he has just shut out a fighter who a lot of folk including yourself thought he was gonna lose to,

he boxed well and you can see the improvements made after only 7 weeks of working with mayweather

he is the best 140lber and has been since he fought kosta, to say he is not good is ridiculous

i think you are more pissed off that this fight did not live up to your expectations and so are saying this about hatton

the fight was poor because paulie couldnt trade with hatton and so he clung on for dear life most of the fight

yes i know hatton is open especially when he storms in but im sure him and mayweather will improve on this for his next bout :good

    My take...

Hatton performed better than expected. He did actually jab more than previously...like I've been calling for and people say he doesn't need to jab...and guess what it WORKED! :yep I still think he can jab more to set things up.

Similar thing with his head movement, its gone from non-existent to a basic stage, progress.

Also I am pleased Hatton stopped clinching, I've got a feeling this is only because he's not worried about Malignaggi's power and he'll resort back to it next time, but at least for one fight he stopped. Malignaggi looked like Ruiz's little son.

As far Malignaggi, he looked too one handed. It looked to me his handspeed caused problems for Hatton early, but you can never just keep him away with a jab alone. He really needed the right hand too, but he couldn't use it probably due to injuries. Once I saw he only had a jab, it was inevitable. His footwork was not good enough either, he did not circle well which would have cost him even if he could use his right, but it would have been closer.

So overall, some positive progress for Hatton but it was hard to gauge how far in this fight. We'll see if he's really improved on his skills when he faces Pacquiao/Hoya or Bradley and they punish him seriously for mistakes.

Me , you , us and them can stake a million ideas and opinions :good Whats your point ? I think i explained mine and i guess you are giving your's.

Personally ( yes i know you arent saying/pointing this out ) Mosley wipes Hatton and his shorts, even now.

I'd take Mosley before Hatton, probably being biased, anyways :bbb

    Hairy :deal
