Hatton v Malignaggi

i'm not saying he is a great mover. i simply believe he has enough movement to bother hatton. granted, he looked shitty against N'dout the 2nd fight, you cant take away how he absolutely dominated N'dou the first fight (12 round shutout).

I'm no Paulie fan, but I think he can give Hatton a few problems.

 

What does Paulie do well besides jab? Moving isn't an acceptable answer as slower fighters than Hatton(N'Dou and Ngoudjo) were able to get to him without much trouble.

I don't see Paulie having the necessary ring savvy to be able to deal with Hatton's footwork - which leads to the big body shots and midrange shots.

N'Dou is basically a 70% version of Hatton in most departments, better in some (chin) lesser in others (heart and speed) and when he actually bothered to fight on the inside in the rematch he had Paulie in big trouble.

One thing Hatton has never failed to do is get rid of an opponent who had big weaknesses on the inside - though he hit Lazcano a lot to the body he was able to get his elbows down just in time. Paulie isn't smart enough to do that.

I see a few early problems but from the fourth onwards it being one sided and a stoppage around the ninth or tenth.

Paulie does indeed have pretty good movement and good legs, but don't forget that Hatton actually has pretty damn quick feet himself, with wich he bothered Mayweather a little early on.
I think if Hatton could close the gap on Mayweather he can close it on Malignaggi, with the difference obviously being that Paulie doesn't nearly have Mayweather's power, in-fighting ability or defense.
He does have heart and a good chin though, so Hatton UD.

 

Say what you want about Paulie, but the kid is double tough, he has a great chin, and he is a lot stronger than people give him credit for. I think he can pull out a decision. That might not be what happens, but I am hoping that he can box the ears off the worlds greatest midget wrestler.

 

If his chin is so great, how come he almost got sparked by Ngoudjo? What does Paulie do well besides jab?

Collazo is left handed, has decent power, and can actually throw an effective punch besides the jab. Collazo comes into his fights weighing over 160 lbs. Paulie will weigh less than Hatton, his power is non existant, he's an orthodox fighter, and the only effective punch he throws is the jab.
