I will happily avatar bet someone a year that Ricky wins this one. Despite the fact that he is in turmoil at the moment, without an appointed trainer and nutritionist, the fact that Paulie simply has absolutely nothing in his fists means that Hatton will be able to walk him down and stop him IMO. In the N'Dou rematch Paulie was alarmingly hittable, especially on the inside - lets not forget that Ricky is in a totally different class to N'Dou in that area. To beat Hatton you need to be able to back him up - Mayweather is hardly feather fisted, Lazcano can kick like a mule whilst against Collazo Hatton came in out of shape and punched himself out trying to get the job done in the first two rounds. Hatton TKO 11
I certainly hope the odds are near even money for a Hatton win...I'm going to bet some real money. Hatton is going to maul Paulie. As soon as Hatton realizes Paulie can't hurt him, he'll go 100% offensive...to the body, head, testicles. Since Hatton was humiliated by Floyd in the US, he's going to want some payback...to show the Yanks who is boss. :arran
paulie points in tough fight, hatton will eat to many punches on his paper thin skin and will become frustrated at how he wont be hurting paulie, (took a brave beating from cotto at welterweight) he might even end up getting one of his trade mark cuts above his eyes which will seal it i think if malignaggi can let his hands go early, with good foot work to avoid hattons world class jumpin in right hands
It's in the US which gives Malignaggi a chance to finish Hatton in the unlikely event he gets him intro trouble. If the odds make Paulie a big underdog it might be worth taking a chance on him but if its even money Hatton seems like the better bet. At least those are my initial thoughts. Sure Hatton may have lost to Lazcano if it wasnt' for BS shoelace stoppages but Paulie's lack of power and fragile hands won't deter Hatton, who isn't easily deterred anyways. A lot of it will surely come down to how much of Hatton's inside wrestling / fighting is allowed. I think of the Collazo fight for some reason where ricky won on points but was lucky the fight ended when it did. Hatton ain't the same guy but Malignaggi isn't Collazo. Hatton could win this thing on points in an ugly fight. A draw doesn't seem like a bad play here either cuz the scoring could be all over the place. Do you like wrestling and holding or dancing with love taps?:nut
Collazo has a lot more power than Paulie Throw in the fact that Hatton was in awful shape for the bout and you have an answer There was no way that Hatton was losing to Lazcano - he has been hurt much worse and found a way to survive. See Collazo, Phillips, Magee and Thaxton if you need proof :deal
paulie should work on his timeing of his short left hook, even though he does not have power, a former lightweight past best fighter in lazcano (who has not got much power) managed to daze hatton a couple of times and i believe our good friend mayweather finished him off with that check hook aswel, you cant miss it when he jumps in at you head first
that is true though he is a very rugged fighter and his heart i believe is the only thing that can allow him to win this one
Lazcano has 27KO's from 37 wins - better ratio than....... Mayweather Judah Hatton Comparable/equal to.... Pacquiao Margarito De La Hoya Ok the levels of comp are higher for those guys, but no bull****!
I think Paulie outboxes the sh*t out of Hatton. Hatton has looked below average in his last 2 fights. PBF might've taken something away.
