I am surprised at the level of support that paulie is getting. Sure, Hatton didn't look his best against Lazcano, but when has Paulie looked good enough to beat Hatton?

I'm not a fan of either fighter, but I think Hatton takes this, maybe by stoppage.

I think it has more to do with how bad Hatton has looked moreso than how good Paulie has looked.

i think you may be on to something there, i thought the same thing in the lazcano fight and hatton said himself he was alot more nervouse that usual before the fight because he does not believe in his own abilities anymore
plus all the stuff with changing trainer and losing his conditioning coach will not help :-(

agreed. Both are coming off of two lackluster performances.I still think Hatton has enough left in the tank to beat this guy by unanimous decision. You would have to give Hatton no credit for stomping juan lazcano, seen as lazcano lost to harris, who was annihalated by witter in seven rounds.I thought Malignaggi was lucky to get the nod against Ngoudjo so I am astonished so many people are predicting him to win on points.Paulie Malignaggi will need a miracle one-punch kayo if he is going to win this fight:lol:

Hatton will fight the most determined fight of his career outmuscleing and outboxing Malignaggi

Yeah, you're probably right. Hatton does seem to have slipped. And if Paulie had looked better in his last fight, I might be leaning his way, as well.

Whenever I see some biased, reality-denying post in favour of Hatton I just scroll my eyes to the left to the 'location' field, and there it always is, sure as Fattons beer gut - a U.K. location like 'Leeds'. Nobody expects you Brits to be able to appraise your athletes objectively, desperate as you are to have some worthy of mentioning.

Aaaaanyway. Interesting matchup - the old boxer vrs mauler. We'll have to wait and see you can affect their style the best; both have the artillery to make the other look bad if they can set the tempo. If they were fighting in England I wouldn't give Paulie a chance as Hatton would just cagefight him into the ground. But if Paulie can apply a decent strategy there's no reason he can't beat Hatton easily.

all these people saying malignaggi will win, but when hatton wins he'll get no respect for it at all.

If that turns out to be the case the it will be sad. This is actually the first good measuring test for Hatton in a while. He hasn't really fought much A grade talent since Tszyu sans PMF, who was always out of his league. He has done enough to maintain his tsatus but in reality he has lost one fight against a nobody, looked **** beating the likes of whom he should have thrashed, and knocked out a has been (Castillo). I think he well might beat Paulie but he needs to in order to give some creedence to his reputation.

    sad isn't it .

if hattons even at 80% of his best he'll smash paulie to bits .

You clearly know nothing about UK geography

    I am from Yorkshire

    Hatton is from Lancashire

    War of the Roses anyone?

In simpleton's terms (necessary for the likes of you) Yorkies and Lancies HATE each other

If Paulie can apply a strategy like what?

    Run away?

    One punch KO?

You clearly didn't see his last two fights, in which he has received what could be described as generous decisions, against fighters nowhere near the calibre of Ricky Hatton. If the Hatton that fought Mayweather turns up at the MGM Grand it will be a one sided beating for 10 rounds before the referee steps in.

i base this on hatton at his best being far better than paulie ever will be. not hard is it ?

I don't really give a **** about 'geography lesson' as we all know you limey assholes set aside all cultural dissonance when common interests are at state - i.e. that everlasting, everhopeless persuit of English sporting glory (why would I know the difference between 'yorkies' and 'lancies', brit trash??).

Paulie can serve up a boxing lesson to Hatton (as can anyone with a B level of boxing abillity), so if he can effectively find a way to nullify Hattons clinch fighting (with a little help from a sympathetic referee), he has it withing his abilty to comfortably dismiss Hatton.

"Calibre of Htton <<---------a comment loaded with so much subjective Hatton nuthuggery it makes me sick.

It would be a lot harder if you were to qualify these monsterous assertions you make with some kind of reasoned content rather than tossing them out moronicly and expecting those reading your posts to swallow it as fact. :patsch :hi:
