HBO Sports announced today that the Dec. 8 Floyd Mayweather-Ricky Hatton welterweight title bout generated 850,000 pay-per-view buys and $47 million in PPV revenue. That total caps off the highest performing year in HBO Pay-Per-View history.

good figures that.

a fairly good ppv (not involving oscar) tends to get no more than half a million.

 

Absolutely, 850k is very, very good in the States.

Very few top 1 million, and they nearly (if not) all in recent years involve Oscar.
