    Has anyone consider the time differences regarding making the fight?

    London is 8 hrs ahead of las Vegas.

    So the main revenue which would be from PPV is limited. To fight in England for a 10 est ppv fight (7pm Vegas), the fight would take place at 3:00 am London time.

    It works the opposite way also, for the fight to be at a reasonable time in England, the start would be too early to draw a large PPV audience in the states.

    This is a major obstacle to generating the most PPV revenue for this fight.

    Or am I missing something :huh

    99% of the time they end up fighting late in the UK and that's what will happen here as well. It never seems to stop the UK fans from turning out en masse, and damn sure wont keep them away from this one.

    So you don't think a Vegas fight with an 11:00pm est start, would hurt the ppv in the UK. Would be a 4:00 am start there. A fight like this staring earlier and you lose the west and midwest US revenue due to to early a start. These PPV are always saturday night events in the states.

    Wasn't Hatton-Tszyu was fought at a very late hour for US viewers?

    Anyway, the atmosphere in England would be crazy, but I think it takes place in Vegas. I still would like some info from anyone who knows the details on how much Vegas casinos generally pay for site fees compared to the large stadiums in England. I know that big Vegas fights have more expensive tickets anyway so the difference in live gate $$ is not as large as many might think, judging from the difference in attendance. All the out-of-towners and gamblers make the casinos able to afford expensive site fees. Plus I think HBO would rather have it in Vegas.

    It really doesn't matter to me, just make the fight happen, but I think it's more likely to take place in Sin City.

    I like it when people confidently correct people when they have no idea what they are talking about.

    Go to the vegas.com web site. They list the local time in vegas.

    Then check your watch and do a simply subtraction.

    Vegas = 04:20
    London = 12:20

    Difference = 8 hours

    Are you aware that America has numerous timezones.

    Goto the page below:

    http://www.myworldclock.com/timezones/cities/New%20York%20City

    This will show that NYC is 5 hours behind.

    Therefore I suggest the fight you are on about took place in NYC and not Vegas
