Ricky Hatton's mega-money showdown with Manny Pacquiao looks like it is back on just 24 hours after the fight was called off.

Plans for the bout between the Hitman and the man regarded the best pound-for-pound fighter looked to have collapsed after Pacquiao went back on an initial agreement to split the purse 50:50.

However, reports are claiming that Pacquiao has now agreed a 52:48 split of the purse and a guaranteed $12million.

Pacman's promoter Bob Arum confirmed on Thursday night that terms for the fight had now been agreed.
    Announcement

"Manny has assured me he's signed the contract, that he's announcing to the Philippines press that he's signed it, and that everything's done," Arum told the LA Times.

Arum and an attorney from his Top Rank promotional team will review the contract on Friday before forwarding it on to Golden Boy Promotions, who are representing Hatton.

The Manchester fighter had opened negotiations with Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Oscar De La Hoya following reports the May 2 clash with Pacquiao was off.

Hatton was also offered the chance to fight the winner of the IBO lightweight showdown between Juan Diaz and Juan Manuel Marquez.

I'm not sure that Hatton's team are prepared to accept the offer after being ****ed around so much.

Hatton's team should locate their balls and drop their pride. Dumbasses going to refuse 48% to fight the best in the world? Get over yourselves.

who the **** does Hatton think he is to demand 50% against the established p4p best and who has a massive support, way bigger than Wicky anyway. The man is deluded as ever on his standing in world boxing.

all the negotiations should be done and dusted, even before they set a date, and venue, that way the fans and public do'nt get ****ed around

    You're the deluded one

You really think Pacquaio would give him a 50:50 split or near enough just because Hatton 'thinks he's something'

    Don't be so ridiculous

Hatton brings as much - if not more - cash to this party

I saw Hatton on Sky news this morning and he said that Arum was going to the Pinoys home planet over the weekend and that a contract would be signed...he seemed to indicate that it would be 50/50.

The story that said it was back on said it was at a 52:48 split

As much as certain conspircay theorists like to discredit Hatton's team, Williams definitively stated that the 52:48 story was nonsense, the offer was 50:50 and always has been.

For that reason I don't believe this latest story

You think Khan could take a punch from a world class Light Welter??

He's been dropped by shop-worn lightweights before
