It's more than Twitter, it's official. He'll face Vyacheslav Senchenko. Personally, I think it's a good choice. Having been stopped by Malignaggi in his last fight there is at least a degree of recent fight action, but at the same time if Paulie can stop him then you'd imagine 75% of the old Hatton should do. But he's not a small guy. He must be a good 8" taller than Hatton? I think it's a choice that is credible and sensible. He won't be a walkover because of the amount of time Hatton has been out, but nor should he pose a KO threat to test whether Ricky has any lingering fragility from the time of his retirement. I'd not be surprised to see Hatton stop him within 4-5 rounds, but equally he might use it as a full fight fitness routine and just look to test the boxing skills he's saying he will use from hereon. Let's be honest - nobody really knows which Hatton is going to come back. The one he says is, or the one that retired and couldn't stick to a gameplan. I hope its the former.
I think althought won't appeal to the lay person, this is a better fight then Kats and will provide us with more info on whether has still got what it takes. Someone who is natural welterweight and has held a world title there, and someone who isn't turning up just to make the numbers.
Agreed. Big upset when Paulie won as he was brought in as a name opponent. Was made up for the lad. Stoppage as well
