The same "eggy" chin that stood up to the best shots of Tszyu, Tackie, Phillips, Urango etc...? It's one thing someone with the speed, power, timing and volume of Manny Pac to brush Hatton aside, but Witter isn't a particularly big puncher, I can't see his shots bothering Hatton too much.
Some of the shots that Hatton took from Tszyu in particular, were unbelievable.

    Hatton by KO, BTW, lol

I think Hatton would win a decision in a pretty close fight.

Zakman also thinks Lennox Lewis was a caretaker champion and neither Bowe nor Tyson ducked him so I wouldn't tend to take what he says too seriously. Hatton's chin ain't what it was but there's a hell of a difference in power between Pac and Witter (not to mention speed, accuracy and volume of punches).

This is an out and out lie. It's fairly well documented that Warren didn't want Hatton to face Tszyu, the fighter had to force him to make the fight by threatening to leave him otherwise. Tszyu sure looked a faded force demolishing the second best fighter in the division in three rounds only 8 months previously.

Let's be honest who gives a damn what Warren says anyway, the guy is notoriously bitter about those fighters who don't sign with him (hence his continuing attacks on Froch) and even more so with those who sign and then leave him.

Exactly, it's funny how Warrens barbs of bitterness are used as evidence when it's suited.

Evry right to be bitter. If it wasn't for Warren hand picking him opponents he'd have been beaten a lot sooner IMO.

And Tsyzu beating someone in 2 rounds 8 months previous doesn't mean he was his best at the time of the fight with no tune up.

And talking of bitter, it sounds to me Hatton is bitter as **** with warren, all this "I wont fight Khan unless I can promote it" bollocks. he knows it'll never happen and said it to avoid getting his face drilled by a fighter who was a laughing stock 9 months ago :deal

Witter is just not busy enough. I don't know if its because he has stamina issues or its where his style relies so much upon sharp reflexes that are no longer what they once were?

Witter has power but if you are looking to take a guy with one shot at the highest level then you are going to found out, no question!

Witter & Hatton have both seen better days, but I just think Ricky's style would be too busy for Witter. Unless Witter lands flush early, I think Hatton stops him late on!

I actually think there's more chance of Hatton-Witter than Hatton-Khan because Ricky has already said if would have to be him promoting if he fought Khan! No way Mr Warren would have that!

    1. So Witter keeps his distance, jumps in with a wild hook and grabs as Hatton lands a few to the ribs.

    2. REF calls Break

    3. Goto step 1 and repeat until someone collapses or quits.

    FOTY candidate?

How is steering a fighter with the right fights at the right time handpicking?

Hatton beat good fighters throughout his 'education' to the top.

He beat Phillips and Tackie more decisively than Mitchell did, when Mitchell was being called the numero uno in the division whilst Tszyu was absent (by most writiers).

Tszyu then destroyed Mitchell like no one else had, whilst he may not of been in his prime he certainly wasnt shot.

Plus Mitchell then took Mayweather 6 roughly a year later after Tszyu.

And doesnt it seem strange to you that both Warrens goldenboys in Hatton and Calzaghehavent a good word to say about the man.

Whether or not Warren has the right to be bitter or not isn't the point. My point was that he undeniably is bitter and therefore his words have to be taken with a pinch of salt. Who exactly would have been the fighter who would have beaten him then? Bearing in mind that he took the title from the p4p #3 and has twice defended it against top ranked contenders as well as beating 4-5 other top five operators. Whatever Warren did for Hatton in terms of "hand picking" opponents, Hennessey has done x10 for Witter. At least Hatton's opposition in the 01-05 period included some solid world or fringe world class operators (Magee, Phillips, Tackie, Oliveira).

As for Hattonm he promotes his own fights these days and sees no reason to compromise on this. Plus, I still think he probably KTFOs Khan quite early.

    This is about Hattons career

Like TKO said no one cares about Witter

But Hattons fooled alot more people that he is some great..............
