i voted hatton on points at this stage....hatton is def. the more mentally tough fighter even at this stage.......the only way you beat ricky is you brutally knock him the **** out, he wont quit....

prime for prime, what the witter-alexander fight showed me, was hatton would have brutally destroyed witter......without a doubt....

If you look at the Judah, Alexander and to an extent Bradley fights, when Witter wasnt getting his own way and being able to bully or intimidate opponents he became negative and reverted back to his old style of retreating.

This is why ive always believed he wouldnt beat Hatton, Witter has overated power and speed, and i think Hatton would chase him out of the ring whilst grinding him down to a late rounds stoppage.

Hattons style is perfect for Witter, in my opinion, but only due to the fact Hatton cannot take a punch anymore.

3 years ago there would be no doubt in my mind that Hatton wins. He would pressure Witter, like you say, grind him down and walk through his punches. I just dont think Hatton has that in his locker anymore, he has been hurt badly and brutally KO'd in his last few fights. Witter could be off form and still land some huge punches on Hatton's chin. I honestly don't think Ricky would be able to take many of them.

I think Witter would be able to take Hatton out by the mid rounds.

Tell you what, Junior has developed a rep for power way beyond any evidence I've seen of it...

Why do people feel the need to prefix "KO" with "brutally"? They are hardly ever gentle...:patsch;)

I cant figure this out either.

He had devastating power against african journeymen, etc.

But when he stepped up his level of comp the ko's dried up.

I still think Hatton was taken out by a powerful shot that he didnt see coming and that intensified the punch, also Pac has great hand speed.

    I pick Hatton.

This fight used to mean something. However it no longer does.

Pretty well agree with this. I'm not sure where this reputation for power of his has come from, of the 6-7 world level fighters he has taken on (Ndou, Kotelnik, Judah, Bradley, Harris, Corley plus I'll be generous and include Alexander) only one of those has been taken out inside the distance and he was never reknowned for durability.
