To be honest, any chump can talk **** about any fighters. You can offer subjective opinions on certain fighters, and the next guy to come along could offer a totally different opinion, but at the end of the day facts and achivements are indisputable, and I'd rather base my assessment of a fighter on things that are real, rather than opinions that some chump has pulled out of his ass... You say that Tszyu was shot, he didn't look shot against Hatton or when he was destroying Mitchell (the NO1 ranked contender) inside 3 rounds a few months earlier. I suppose you're also conveniently forgetting that Tszyu was the P4P #3 at the time. Collazo is a good fighter, a former belt holder and remains a top ten guy a deep division. Urango is a top 5 ranked fighter and a belt holder who is/was prime when Hatton beat him. Malignaggi was another title holder and The Ring #1 Contender to their title at the time. Maussa wasn't exactly the greatest fighter of all time, but he had a belt which made a unifacation fight worthwhile. Lazcano was a Top 10 guy at LW, as were Tackie and Phillips. Castillo was supposedly shot, but still the P4P #8. Anyway, thats not really relevent to the point I was responding to, about Hatton needing another belt to compare with Vagas. Seeing as though Hatton has more belts, at more weights, it seems like an odd position to take. If someone wants to say 'Vargas beat better fighters" or "Vargas was the better fighter", the fine. But belt tallys aren't particularly relevant to why Vargas is supposedly better than Hatton.
There are no maths in boxing. Look at the merrygoround of Frazier Foreman and Ali. STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. Ricky has a simple style. Works fine against smaller fighters and B C grade non punchers. But when you enter the big leagues expect to get hit hard and often when you have no defense.
Wait just a minute. How the flying **** is Hatton a hall of famer? Since when was the bar reduced that low. He ain't no hall of fame caliber fighter and I'd thank you not to refer to him as such again. You better recognize!!!
How good is Vargas, really? I mean, without juicing up (and obviously, that wasn't enough either). I can at least look at Hatton without wanting to throw up in my mouth. Can't say the same about Vargass.
Arguello, Pryor, Whitaker, Camacho, Chavez. . . Hatton??? C'mon, man, that **** don't even sound right. I can't believe this. I don't even need a morning coffee. You got me fired up early this morning.
if hamed is considered to be in the HOF, then hatton should be there also i tell you, just stay in the p4p top 10 for 3 years and you are almost locked...name a fighter that is consistently in the top 10 for 3 years that is not HOF material
Owwwwwch! I'm not sure which guy to feel sorry for in that comparison. Damgaard didn't exactly light up the boardwalk last time I saw him in these parts.
Hatton had a much better career. He had over double the fights Vargas had. Although Vargas fought much tougher guys early in his career (Wright in his 17th fight) Hatton > Vargas career wise
