"Although Oscar De La Hoya has retired from the sport, Hatton feels a big showdown perhaps at the City of Machester Stadium or Wembley could lure De la Hoya back for one last fight."

Do you guys think dlh would come back for this fight?

And if he did would it be a good/fair fight (fair, regarding weight)?

It has to be at lmw at least for dlh to no be a corpse.

Anyone intrigued by this potenetial matchup, or is this just another case of fighters that should just stay retired.

Do I want this fight to happen? No.

I would watch it, and be interested if it did happen. Dlh by ko.

The fight shouldnt happen, it doesnt need to happen.

But if it did happen, Hatton is too small and way to easy to hit for a puncher like DLH.

I'd love to see Oscar end his career with a W.

I agree, i think thats the only reason I'd want to watch the fight if it was made, to see Oscar get one last W.

Ricky is looking to make a good paid day against a high profile and also hopefully secure a win rather then end his career on the canvas taking a nap and dreaming about wonderland. To be honest he should fight Amir khan which would be a big fight in the U.K. or Marquez !!!

I'm not saying he looks like ****, but it looks like Oscar hasn't kept himself in athletic shape, he's approaching middle age, a multi-millionaire and successful business man too. I don't see him coming back.

    Hatton/JMM is more likely.

Oscar isn't coming back. I think more than most he realizes the situation of his deteriorated skills and at this point there is no real reason to come back...and what does beating up on Hatton really prove anyway?

Oscar is a business man and still have much talent left. This is possible. He knows Ricky can't put a beating on him.

im not sure why or how this would happen , we know oscar cannot make 147 , or at least in a healthy way , and hatton for all his size outside of the ring will always be a 140 fighter , this means a difference of at least two divisions , so if they decide around 150 - 154 hatton would weight too much and be slow , oscar may way too little , and would also be slow , no point , both retire.

No point. Oscar has no reason to come back and hatton is just not a fighter anymore. I don't think he can take a punch these days.

Amir Khan would be much too fast for Hatton. Such a pointless fight anyway. It makes the UK look so **** if thats the only thing people keep going on about? Its a terrible match-up. Like even if Amir Khan didn't beat up a very popular ricky hatton, then what? We get to see a very talented kid knocked out just because its what the "fans" wanted to see?

Pointless, and It won't happen. Ever.

Yea, I figured the fight would at least have to be at 154 for oscars sake, but I'm sure hatton would be too bloated to be effective, making it a realatively easy ko for dlh.
