Spot on. Nobody body hammered witter for fighting moura did they. What is it everybody can have a tune up after a defeat accept hatton. ****ing hell.

 

Boxrec do get it wrong.

They mistakenly listed Romanov as Khan's opponent for his Feb fight and we ended up with a similar length thread on here about a fight that never happened!

 

Very true.

 

I think at lot of the time Boxrec would rather be first to 'announce' a fight than make sure they are 100% correct.

 

This rumour hasn't helped but it seems to be a case of lets hammer Hatton full stop on the brit forum these days.

He got quite a bit of stick before the Mayweather fight on here but there seems to be even more anti-Hatton sentiment being expressed now.

Some of the criticism is justified but I'm still surprised just how quickly a potential hero has been reduced to zero in many peoples eyes.

 

This is what British people do with their sportsmen, they build them up up to knock them down.

Just like when Witter faces Hatton and loses, they'll rubbish Witter and say they knew he'd never win. Then they'll choose somebody else that Hatton HAS TO beat otherwise it means he's ducking him

 

That's the British way.

For some reason, we don't particularly like winners. The names Linford Christie (arrogant), Ricky Hatton (too fat), Jonny Wilkinson (boring) come to mind, to name but three.

Yet we love guys like Eddie 'the eagle' Edwards, Paul Gascoigne and Tim Henman?

What the **** is wrong with our country?

Totally irrelevant but one of my old friends who is now gay was on holiday in Spain and all the lads were having a bet about who would pull first... so first night they all return to the hotel with the exception of 'former mate' 2 hours later former mate strolls in with a big smile on his face 'guess what i pulled' all my mates were like who was she, what was she like? he responded witht he now legendary lines 'He was a straight guy from newcastle- we did it in the sea'!... lol NICE :-(

Well the funny thing is when I used to have fights he would come and 'support' me but obviously after i'd have a shower and my mates would come and see me and i'd walk around naked- no worries! lol He must have been loving it....
