The pink pound or spending power of gay people is much more than for hetro sexuals. I am surprised FW has not used that tool to promote any of his boxers.

A gay boxer would pull in the crowds espcially if he fought on Brighton beach or anywhere near Kemp (some say camp) Town.

BBN are now running a story on Juan Lazcano being the preferred next opponent for Hatton.

    Record - W37 L4 D1 = 42

Coming off the back of a loss to Vivian Harris.

Opponent won't be confirmed until date/venue for Hatton agreed.

I agree with everything but Linford Christie. He failed a drugs test.

according to todays MEN, hatton won't be fighting "as widely reported, a South African, but a world ranked Mexican American" so maybe it will be Lazcano.

in the article it also calls hatton "the best p4p fighter at lightwelterweight" whatever that means!

He was also fighting a "World Class" opponent when he took on Aldo Rios. He was mooted to fight Lacazno before but that never happened. Whatever happens next his opponent will be a gimme and he willl look poor. You can bet on it.

as much as i'd like to give hatton the benefit of the doubt, i'd have to agree with you. the opponent certainly won't be juan diaz, malignaggi or torres and we already knew it wasn't going to be witter. it'll be someone he can beat comfortably and look good against.

As long as the opponent is genuinely world class that all you can ask IMHO. How many fighters come of a loss in the biggest fight of their career and face another really top-notch opponent? The next fight is about confidence, getting rounds in and getting the win.
