This is the first thing after watching Ricky loosing so badly. He is gonna fight Amir Khan if he gets past Kotenik. I think Khan has a very good chance of winning too!

We don't even know if he's going to continue boxing. Wait for a few days, see what he's saying.

It might be my imagination, but the look on his face pretty much said that he wasn't doing it anymore.

Also in the last 24/7 you could see that it was becoming hard for him to stay away from his kid, and after the KO last night, he'll be relieved that he's still physically able to see him.

He's had a decent career, might as well hang them up.

He fights Khan, and what? It's not worth the risk. He wins- he's beaten a 21 year old chinny kid. He loses- he's lost and this time it isn't to a P4P champion.

Besides, Khan probably knows that beating Ricky Hatton in England is going to make him public enemy number 1. He's not exactly Mr. Popular at the moment anyway.

It's the only really big money fight available to Wicky at the moment. I guess it would be a nice passing of the torch, but Roach seems to have Hatton's number.

The first thing I thought of after hearing the result of the Pacquio fight was Khan v Hatton, first defence of the WBA light-welterweight title. Frank Warren's astute enough to see that Hatton may be vulnerable. With the right "spin" it could be one of the biggest fights staged in the UK.

I hope Ricky retires now to be honest.

He's been great for British boxing but I think he should just hang them up now.

I don't think you need to be astute to see that Hatton is vulnerable mate.

Pacquaio and Roach will know if this is the right fight for Khan after all the sparring they've done.

Why Hatton would want this fight though is beyond me - he doesn't need the money and it wouldn't enhance his reputation really if he did win (and I've no idea if he would after that beating).

Ricky has to retire and I think he will, that was a terrible knock out last night, it's the first time in a while I have really feared for a boxers safety, Fighting Khan would prove nothing for Ricky, As someone else said if he wins he's beat a chinny hype job, if he was to suffer a loss to Khan it would ruin his name completey as it stands he has only lost to two of the very best.

Not a reason in the world for either Amir or Ricky to take this fight on, why?

Firstly, Ricky Hatton worked his way up, gave great entertainment to british fans and then when he earned his reputation, he took on the two P4P best fighters, he tried, and although he failed, he atleast gave it a go while many others could have waited till they were past their primes, Hatton has my respect because he wanted to take on the best, and he tried his best too, i respect him for that, his tale is over for me, hes a loved british fighter and has to now think about his family and his future.

Amir cannot gain anything from this fight because even if he was to win, he will ultimately be judged for beating a shot Ricky Hatton who is past it and doesnt have the punch resistance anymore, the critics would still give him stick even if he won, it would be overshadowed and people would remember that Hatton just got KO'd in 2 rounds, if a young prospect beat him, people would simply say he beat a shot Ricky, so why?

In terms of reputation, Amir can gain NOTHING, it will only worsen in the eyes of british fans, just think about how much hate hes shown now, if he beats Ricky Hatton will the british fans really RESPECT him? No, because he finished the career of the most loved british boxer in the country, he would be looked upon as a complete enemy for it.

Ricky Hatton has my respect for working his way to the top and taking his chances, he took on the best and tried, ultimately he failed but hes respected for the fact that he tried his best and did it for the fans and his country.

Amir Khan is disrespected by many, but also has some who have followed him and still believe he can move on to be a very good champion, im one of them, as long as he does not get ahead of himself, fighting Ricky will gain him nothing but more judgement and hatred from british fans, its disgusting to see really, how much stick his own country gives him, but ultimately this fight should not happen, Khan needs to make it his own way and Hatton needs to walk away with a smile and know hes still a loved fighter.

Yes. Ricky should retire but there is too much money to be made. Ricky shamelessly shovels **** down our throats.
