Hatton will try to recapture his championship status at 140 and grab a belt, so this fight is a possibility.

Given that Hatton gets past Lazcano....what would Hatton-Kotelnik match up look like.....Hatton coming off a knockout loss would most definitely be vulnerable.....I was surprised to see that Kotelnik can actually punch little bit

Hatton has a two or three fight deal with HBO. He will fight Lazcano, then Malignaggi and then maybe Pacquiao.

I would love to watch Hatton vs Kotelnik, but as some other posters here I very much doubt that this fight will really come off within the next 2 years.

Witter and Hatton does need to happen.

If Hatton fought Kotelnik i could see Hatton swarming all over Kotelnik to a mid rounds stoppage. Although Kotelnik is good he isnt elite (like Mayweather) and i think he is quite one paced and not very imaginitive. Very good text book fighter though:good

kotlenik didnt like Rees' body work, in fact it seemes the only shot Rees could land cleanly, this will not put him in good stead against a body hitter like Ricky Hatton.

    Hatton wins TKO.

This fight is good but nohting to get the adrenaline pumping.

True, I see him as the champion, the true man to beat at light welter, but if he is going to continue fighting at 140, he has to fight the best comp, Kotlenik is one of the best there so a match would make sense down the road.

Junior Witter is the fight to see though!

I agree - he is the 140 King so why fight a limited fighter that Witter has already schooled!

Witter didnt school him:nono Kotelnik gave Witter a good fight, it was a majority win for Witter if i am correct:huh

From what i read Witter dominated the early rounds whilst Kotelnik dominated the later rounds. Kotelnik is a good fighter, but obviously beatable.

Hopefully we will not get to see an Hatton vs Kotelnik fight. No offence to the new champ but he is hardly going to champ for long and Hatton is in a complete different league to him.

We all know who Hatton should be fighting or at least can offer up some very good opponents, Kotelink even with a title is not one of them.

Kotelink vs Ajose Olusegun would be a good fight.

This fight isn't that likely at all. Hatton fights Lazcano next and then his 3-fight HBO contract kicks in. Can you envision HBO approving a Kotelnik fight?
Hatton is set to fight Malignaggi in the fall, providing they both win their next fight.

I think Kotelnik would school Olusegun personally.

I have seen Olusegun's last two fights and all i see is a good British Level/ occasionally scraping Euro level fighter. I dont know what the fuss is with him?
