Now I am 100% certain that Mayweather avoided Margarito.

Margarito was banned from his press conference and even approached Floyd man-to-man, and asked him for a fight prior to his fight with Judah I believe.

How much more disrespectful can you be?

How hard is it for the #1 PfP champ to beat a slow, easy to hit, journeyman?

Hatton who's 5'6'' and, while he does well against boxers, is an easier option and almost a sure win for Floyd.

It might actually end up being a difficult fight, but Floyd has the reach advantage, quickness, and elusiveness to avoid being tangled up and to win by decision.

He probably won't KO Hatton because in my opinion, Hatton takes it to the face like a champ, but his body looks to be vulnerable.

Who knows though, I suppose Hatton could win, but it would be ugly, and honestly I think the refs would be on Floyd's side and the holding would be kept to a minimum.

Anyway, my point is that Margarito was too risky for Floyd and he was afraid of his record being tarnished by a journeyman.

Very hard, especially when he has serious major fights like ones against De La Hoya/Shane Mosley/Ricky Hatton/Miguel Cotto waiting for him.

I say Margarito did'nt do anything to deserve a fight with pbf. And to speak about ducking, he finally decided to take the fight with Paul Williams imo will beat him anyway.

Margarito is only still relevant if he beats Williams and YES Floyd ducked him previously.

The winner of Marg vs Williams, SSM, Cotto, and Hatton are the relevant remaining fights for PBF.

Floyd has no problems facing opponents like Hatton and Cotto and has offered to do so before but he is apparently a bit intimidated by Margarito for whatever the reason. It's likely all in his head but so it goes.

I agree, and after watching him struggle with Clottey, there's no doubt in my mind PBF would own Margarito on his worst day.

The difference between Hatton calling out Floyd is millions of people heard him... AM doesn't have the audience to plea to, so PBF can simply ignore him with no hassle

Yeah because PBF and Clottey have the exact same style.

its very obvious FMJ ducked AM. . . he told AM to his face that he would fight him. . . but he left money on the table to NOT fight him. . . when it cmes to Margarito. . . Floyd is a coward.

Who has Margarito ever beaten to be considered good enough to deserve a fight against Mayweather?

There are many keyboard jockeys talking about Mayweather ducking Margarito but all the evidence is circumstantial.

The Hatton fight that he wants now is harder than the Margarito fight.:patsch

Unless you consider Oscar and Hatton easier fights than a fight against Margarito, all claims of FMJ being a coward are ******ed. :-(

So earlier this week, he was afraid of Hatton and wouldn't take the fight. Now that he is talking about Hatton and saying he wants to fight him, it's evidence that he ducked Margarito. In other words, PBF can never do anything good enough for some of you.

Here is a fun fact: Margarito, besides being a good fighter (and IMO he is) brings nothing else to the table. Hatton, DLH, Mosley, hell even Baldomir brought things to the table that Margo cannot.

Agreed, Floyd is trying to line up a fight with an unbeaten P4P top 10 fighter (unless he is just calling Hattons bluff), Hatton has a superior resumé to Margorito and will pose a greater threat, Margo is nothing more than an example of very good promoting.
