    Because Dawson was his mandatory and it was that or vacate. (And bare in mind, most fighters with market value back in 2011 where tied up in the Super Six or injured from it, or tied to showtime in Bute's and Cloud's case or had recently faced Hopkins in Jones Jr and Pascal's case)

    They wouldn't allow Hopkins a voluntary because the first Pascal-Hopkins fight was a voluntary, and for the terms of the second fight they had to agree to fight Dawson next whoever won or be stripped.

    And after what happen in Dawson-Hopkins 1, Dawson-Hopkins 2 was demanded immediately.

    Hatton and pac don't fight the same. Hatton tried to tough fighters up while pac has never fought in the inside.

    *****s getting aggressive... well, i call it the way it was - Hatton held his own for 7 rounds. Floyd was pushed and could;'t gets way from Hatton yet i hear some claim a much faster and much more skilled Pac would have trouble doing the same.

    Floyd was pushed by Hatton and this is probably what made floyd come out of his shell and TKO him. Credit to Floyd for stepping up as he usually does when he's pushed but when Pacquiao pushes him, it will be different.

    Lederman has a tendency to score for the aggressive guy coming forward, even when the aggressor is eating most of the clean punches.

    He had Mayweather-Hatton even after 7 and Jesus Chavez beating Mayweather after 7, DLH-Trinidad even, Toney-Jirov even.

    he's had it right he vast majority of times, no need to discredit him just because you Floyd fans would like to think floyd dominated all 10 rounds.

    Hatton showed that he could cut off a ring in that fight. However, he was getting destroyed in there. Floyd was buckling him almost at will.
