Me? I've boxed for the best part of 14 years. Had over 40 amateur fights, not to mention all the gym wars. Have undertaken coaching examinations. Absolutely love the sport. Also loved the rise of Pacmam through the years, a boxing legend. Now the dust has settled and I look into things..... I'm very sceptical. Try looking at the picture from a different angle and see where I'm coming from mate.
Just look at those posts. People thought Pac was getting murdered by big Hatton. Now you have idiots nitpicking and dismissing that win. Sad.
What was it that put you over the edge, made you such a cynic, a little too jaded perhaps ? Was it Lance ? Floyd Senior's rhetorics ? Atlas ? Listen, if someone gets caught doping, he or she should be held accountable no ifs and buts about it, his whole legacy put into question. But if all we're going to base this on are accusations, insinuations or whatever agenda-driven machinations there are, that is just grossly unfair. Don't be the guy who lived thru a--for all intents and purposes--legendary career when all things are said and done, not appreciating the moment and the fighter himself while he was still actively fighting, just because some people's obviously selfish agendas planted seeds of doubt in your mind. Hey, if it's Armstrong Part 2, boxing historians will make sure his legacy is measured taking that into account, and these as5holes are notoriously unforgiving. But absent any solid basis, I say just appreciate the guy while he's still actively making his argument for a lofty placement among the greats.
There's no reason to dismiss the win. Unless you just flat out didn't think Hatton was good to begin with
The crazy thing is this... Roy Jones, James Toney, and Shane Mosley are universally loved despite being PED cheats. Pacquiao has never popped dirty, passed VADA testing in six fights, is enrolled in VADA's Clean Boxing Program, and yet he is the most hated/disrespected boxer and the biggest drug cheat in the history of the sport according to the haters.

Personally, I think it’s fine to appreciate Pac’s career and consider that He doped. You ever watch those strongman competitions? I don’t think for a second that they’re clean but nevertheless they’re still impressive. I don’t think steroids make great fighters; I think they allow great fighters to fight at higher weights without sacrificing their speed. PEDs also allow fighters to age better. I’m convinced Pac, Roy, JMM and Floyd all doped. They’re also still incredible fighters. If Pac and Cotto were both natural 126 guys the result would’ve been the same. Pac is greater than Miguel, without PEDs. Let me ask you this: if you are at the absolute top of your career, beloved by literally millions and millions of your countrymen, and your greatest rival accuses you of a heinous crime, completely undermining and calling into question as to why you’re so good, and you are given a chance to prove your innocence and humiliate your rival (and make more than 50 million dollars in the process)...what do you do? Remember, you know for a fact that you are innocent? What do you do? What does any reasonable, innocent man do? @DJN16
