But ive gave full evidence of why Hatton would not beat a Prime Tszyu just look at the PBF fight. Nuetural ground Hatton isnt aloud to do his MMA ****. You probably think Hatton would beat a Prime Castillo aswell. You probably think Hatton beats a Prime Vince Phillips aswell. Not 56 version Hatton fought.
Tszyu is not Floyd Mayweather - they are both very different styles. Hatton has also fought many times in the States and won, so that sort of blows the hometown ref theory out the window.
Dude - The knock down Tszyu scored on he blet line would have gotten a count aywhere else in the world and the Manchester Man-clagg Mashing left hook to the balls would have had a point docked ANYWHERE but Manchester that night.
You dont have a clue do you. NO Tszyu isnt PBF but he can box. He isnt just a one punch wonder. But if you had brains you would know that. What im saying if you watched the PBF fight. Hatton wasnt aloud to fight in close by Cortez was he. Which aloud space for the pure boxer to pick Hatton Apart something Tszyu with Space would do easily. You should know this. Without Hatton being able to fight in close it takes away what ever advantage he has as a fighter. Your taking the **** if you think Hatton would beat Tszyu anywhere but Manchester. Australia Prime Tszyu TKO 5 USA Prime Tszyu TKO 9
And thats the bottom line of the story of that fight. Well said. Thats a 10-7 round. and most writers had the fight very even to that point. Then Tszyu gets confidence from the KD and goes on to win against Hatton at 36 years old. That turned the fight for me.
KT could box like a dream when he wanted to, one of the best amateurs EVER. He actually probably stayed amateur too long, could have had an even longer and more accomplished pro career.
It will be a rough fight for Kostas prime or not. Kostas is not that fast even though his boxing skills are good and he has great power but Hatton relentless pressure and holding would still give him problems. It will be a great fight but I believe the fight could of gone either way.
The only joke in this thread is you, nobody is talking Hatton up, before the Malignaggi fight people had written him off as past it and urging him to retire, he is back to where he was before the Mayweather fight, recognised as the number one fighter at 140lbs, he has got that by unifying the belts, I see no difference from the Tyszu that got beat by phillips, who beat Judah or who lost to Hatton, your one of these guys that instantly writes people off once they lose and call them shot or exposed. Hatton walked through Tyszu's power, and out worked him, Tyszu struggled with a high pace as he did with Phillips, a prime Tyszu didnt punch any harder and his stamina certainly wasnt great. I hate to sound like this because it comes across as though i dont rate Tyszu, because i really think he is great, but Hatton on that night would beat Tyszu at any point in his career, you can bring into the fact he had home advantage, but they aint in the ring with the fighters at the end of the day, Hatton is the home fighter where ever he goes, his fans follow in the thousands.
This is Tszyu in his Prime for me for those who are boxing fans watch. This is a fight against M.A Gonzalez (who had just fought Dela Hoya and lost a close close fight with Dela Hoya) Previous to this fight Gonzalez had never been on the canvas. Had a chin of Granite. [YT]upXpKIGLh4o[/YT]
Im not taking anything away from Hatton he won its done its in the past. But a Prime Tszyu common. I dont mind Hatton but he isnt in Tszyu's class. Thats my opinion and im sure many would agree. But 36 years ols isnt exactly 30 or 28 years old. Unless your name is Hopkins.
That's not really a very good argument. Look, When Tszyu fought Hatton he was 35, and had been from the most part inactive for 3 years. You can speculate about how 'prime' he was based on the 1 fight with Shamba Mitchell, but it's difficult for any rational thinking person to believe that a person at Tszyu's stage of career would be anything close to prime. Can you name me another 140 pound fighter who has carried their prime into 35+? Shamba himself was around the 35 mark, and could also be estimated to have been suffering some of the effects of decline. Who cares about Mitchell. He was never that great, and walked into a bunch of right hands. Means ****. As for Hatton Vrs younger Tszyu, I think Hatton would never be an easy opponent for him because of his style, but it's fairly reasonable to estimate that a younger, less rusty Tszyu would have been much better equipped to fight a WWF war of attrition than the 36 y.o. version. It's not like Hatton outclassed him, Tszyu run out of gas and couldn't hack it. And that's not even taking into account all the officiating that was HEAVILY acquiescent to Hatton's chances. Hatton had a virtual reign to maul. (the fact that Hatton felt comfortable enough to throw a blatantly deliberate ball shot says it all [imagine if he did that in Vegas!]) And the fight was fairly close anyway. Taking into account all of the above, and imagining the fight was waged on neutral terms (neither Manchester ref or Cortez was officiating) it seems very probable that a Hatton V a younger Tszyu (of the Hurtardo - Judah era) would yield a Tszyu victory.
