Because Sechenko is nothing special, is at a stylistic disadvantage and got bullied around the ring by Paulie Malignaggi...
nothing special compared to what though ??....to a prime ricky hatton maybe....this is NOT going to be prime ricky hatton....history, physics, appearance all tell us that, not to mention he nearly got killed stone dead in his last fight.....he'll be half the boxer he was, and some people say that'll be good enough for sechenko...it won't....a prime hatton yes, a 75% prime hatton yes maybe....but this is too much to expect. 3 years living like he has, his timing will need easy fights to get back into it...training will be a lot harder due to testosterone levels his body will have compared to when he boxed before. sechenko did not get bullied by paulie, he got beat by skill and speed....not the same as bullying....a prime hatton bullied....prime hatton couldnt fight the same as paulie, he beat paulie, but its all an example of styles beating other styles......and it wont be that easy to bully a man so much taller, good bodywork or not, he'll be leaning on him from a height every chance he gets, it'll be hard for hatton to get shots off as he'll need that half a step of space to work the body with power....senchenko will be pulling him close, pushing him off...spoiling. he'll grab, spoil and lean on hatton who'll be gassing and blowing after six rounds and he'll stop him on his feet late on.
3/1 Senchenko is good enough for me. He's limited, but Hatton is well past his best, which wasn't much to begin with. We don't know exactly the damage that KO against Pac caused, but it wouldn't surprise me if Hatton gets sparked in the first 3 rounds. Senchenko KO.
I will root for Hatton but I got a bad feeling about this whole comeback deal, I'm the same age as Hatton and live a hard life too, and I know how my body has changed when I train now to how I was at 27 or 28 - I'm not trying to say I was ever near world-class obviously but I'm gonna go with my gut feeling and say Ricky will be gifted a decision win for this fight. I imagine a scrappy affair that most will agree Senchenko should have won. Although I hope to whoever's up there that I'm very wrong, Ricky is flying and has been matched well, and KO's the **** in 4. :bbb
hatton would not be taking this fight had he not seen pillow fists tko him, looking for the easiest way to inflate his ego thinking it will be a pretty easy pay day along the way, no change in wicky fatton then
