I think you mean to say vastly underrated clinching skills. What Hatton does isnt "boxing". Its hitting and holding. Thats how he beat Urango.

 

Hatton would beat Urango 10/10.

His conditioning in the actual fight was awful, having had 8 months off and balooned to nearly 200lbs.

His footwork would be the key, and stupid as it sounds, he has the reflexes to slip Urango's telegraphed bombs. Just don't get caught to the body

Had he not gassed, I think he would have worn down the big Colombian and forced a stoppage.

For somebody with 16000 odd posts, you are either horribly biased and nationalistic, have a weird passionate and childish hate for Ricky, or simply dont know **** about boxing.

 

Mostly option two fwiw.

 

During some rounds in the first fight, Hatton boxed Urango's ears off. Granted, Urango hurt Hatton with some good body shots & Ricky did some holding, but that's what you are supposed to do when you are hurt - you are meant to survive, ride the storm!

If Hatton had stuck to just Boxing rather than getting too involved in a tear-up, he would have the fight a lot easier for himself, but, like he always seems to do, he chose to trade & it was harder than it should have been!

Every single opinion the guy has about boxing is something he has heard or read somewhere else and stolen!

Lot's of times, he gets fights mixed up (cause he basically knows **** all about them), like he has here, confusing Urango with Collazo.
