I know he beat them both :yep but Ricky will show everybody how weak, slow and old Marquez is at 140. Mayweather = cherry picker overrated punk.

Since this is going to be in England i will say JMM by SD.
JMM will be roughed up bad in this fight as Hatton will be allowed to clinch all night and use his wrestling tactics. However JMM will adapt and catch Hatton coming in and possibly drop him or hurt him late in the fight when Hatton is always sluggish. The ref will tell Hatton to tie his shoes and then let him finish the fight. JMM will be the clear winner but will only pull a marginal SD or else a robbery in Hattons favor.

You are out of your mind, Marquez does not use illegal tactics like Mayrunner example: running, clinching, ducking below waist, show back to opponents. Marquez waits and counters but at 140 he is slow and old and will no be able to counter effectivily, Hatton will roll over puppet Marquez easily.

It would be KO by Hatton or Marquez winning UD.

The same Hatton that was gasping for air in the 2nd round of the Pac fight???
No dont think so. You must be a huge Hatton fan to think like that.

Oh yea that slow and old JMM landed a 3 punch combination on PBF face. If he can land that on PBF then im sure he can land some leather on Hatton. IM thinking an uppercut is whats gonna spell all the trouble for Hatton the way he rushes in. And we all know about JMM's uppercuts...

    Sadly, I think you're right.
I was very high on Hatton at the point he beatdown Kostya Tszyu.....
.....fighters usually gain the confidence and progress skillfully from such a fight, but Hatton other than taking out JL Castillo with a body shot, never showed the type of passion and pep that he did that night vs Tszyu.

......getting hurt badly against a non-puncher like Collazo was the beggining of the end for Hatton as an elite, if he ever was that. (I certainly thought he had the possibilities.)

JMM's skills are just too good and varied for Hatton at this point.
.....and though I'm a huge Marquez fan, I'd hate to see a good guy like Hatton get systematically beatdown by a true technical master.
.....at least Pacquiao put Hatton out of his misery early without a beatdown process.
Marquez does'nt have that type of concussive power, so the beating would be prolonged....the type that causes fighters physical and psychological damage.

Part of me say's JMM deserves a payday that a Hatton fight would bring........
.....but now that I think of it, I'd really would'nt want to see it at the expense of Hatton's existing or even past the possible matchup's future expense.

I say the matchup is likely to happen, but hopefully Ricky talks some sense within himself and convinces himself to stay retired and stick to promoting.

Hatton will try to use his punch-clinch technique and will be stopped in his tracks by combinations to the body and head. Marquez will be more used to the newly gains weight and should have recouped enough speed to retire the hitman.

Actually I dont think JMM is slow at all even against Mayweather..........Mayweather just happens to be super-quick, which would give one the illusion that Marquez was slow.......
......I watched the Marquez-Mayweather fight for the second time a couple of days ago and came up with the conclusion was not hindered much from his weight jump from 135 to 142 lbs.

I'd say speed wise Marquez and Hatton are comparable.
Hatton has the edge in strenghth and power, but skillwise and stamina wise, Marquez is so much above Hatton, its not even funny.

my 1st question is where the fight would take place b/c if its in the uk rickys gotta a solid shot at fighting his 'type a fight' which could lead to a classic hatton mauling victory. yea jmm could pick ricky apart and stop him but the diaz fight showed that jmm can be bullied around by a preassure-like brawler such as hatton. i'd love to see this fight take place and i'd put my $ on the underdogg... theres only 1 ricky hatton triCk!
