Yup. It's about time he faced Witter.

Oh, lord, give it up. Hatton was outclassed and is too small to compete at 147. Period. A second match in England would have a similar result, and only benefit Hatton in that he'd have a shorter trip to the pub afterwards. He lost, fair and square, and cannot and will not beat Mayweather Jr. ever.

Pride or money it does not matter. He would be embarressed far more easily if than the first fight. If the fight took place in England it would just fire PBF up to win more convincingly. He would not stop Hatton early, he would dish out another masterclass and stop him late on.

It took PBF a couple of rounds to realise Hatton was actually just a pub brawler and not the danger Hatton and his team had been warning him about during the build up. Once PBF settled into his stride he dished out one of the most one sided viictories in boxing history. I myself was gutted that Hatton had lost due to the build up and hatred of PBF and I also blamed the ref at first but over time it does not take much itelligance to realise Hatton had his ass handed to him deep fried and seasoned, anyone who thinks otherwise is just an Hatton nuthugger.

Rematch doesnt realy makes sense, it wont be the same money but the same or similar outcome, it also wont help Floyd with his legacy... wow he has 2x wins over Hatton instead of 1 ?!!?
Oscar fight makes slightly more sense, money is sick as allways even if it sells hafl of what it sold last year it still would be huge numbers.

But we fans all know who Floyd needs to face now, he can fight his tune ups if he wants (Hatton, Oscar) as long as he faces Cotto at the end of the year.

how will the first match be the same as the second, how many rematchs hve been exactly like the first! Hatton is way to small but i disagree i belive the attmosphere in the lions den would be a impact
if hatton is serious he needs to change the way to fightin on quick hooks to the body then actully moving away from flyod making him move in! were hatton quickly counter strikes forward exactly what he did to castillio, hatton in the first fight was to easy to figure out if there is a second then who knows wht will happen!

Witter would be the ideal comeback opponent. I'd like to see Hatton put him on his arse.

Hatton doesn't deserve a rematch, and I am big Hatton fan, the only way a rematch should be made is if the fight had been very close, or a contrevesial result, as it was neither there should be no rematch, I just feel Hatton would be beaten again and probably even easier. He should just stay at 140lbs, for now, beat Torres, Witter and Mallinaggi, which he can do fairly easily, then have one final crack at 147lbs.

Has Ricky actually said this, or has someone read his book and put it into print?

I think Cortez did suck in that fight, but really, Ricky sucked as well, the 2nd worst performance (after Urango) of his career. That said, Floyd didn't let him perform at his best, a sign of a GREAT fighter.

Hatton is still the best 140lb'er by a distance, you can watch as much Youtube footage of Witter as you want, but he KO'd Harris, and 15 bums in a row!

Hatton has KO'd Tszyu, Castillo etc along with 29 others, some good, some shite admittedly.

It's amazing how someone loses and automatically becomes useless (unless it's an American!). For instance, most people still have Wright in the top 10 P4P, but on what grounds? Drawing to Jermain Taylor, beating Quartey, and losing to Hopkins in a stinker?

I would be surprised if Ricky needs the money, but pride would be the main reason, yet he could fight Floyd ten times at LWW or WW, and probably win only once, if that!

    Floyd is an A* fighter.

    Ricky is an A- fighter.

    Enough said (Hatton fan btw)

Hatton is crazy! I could understand his argument if he lost on a decision! But he got knocked out, with a punch that Floyd was landing since round 1..

How many times can you get baited into left hooks and over hand rights...With or without Joe Cortez Floyd was and is going to land those punches on a fighter like hatton, who likes to lunge in!

I can see this happening again though, because mayweather always wants more money....As stupid as it is.

Not been knocked out, but a loss is a loss and all that!

    Which ones are questionable?

    Certainly not the Hopkins one!

This is same kind of blind cheerleading that took place before the match. Any adjustments Hatton makes will be countered by the adjustments Mayweather would make. He's just a naturally bigger and superior fighter. And I say this as someone who wanted Hatton to kick his ass, but he can't. He will lose again. He may not end up ramming the ring post, but he'll lose in a convincing fashion. Sorry.

Just small talk to me. He had his chance, he did a good fight what else could he do, Mayweather will beat him again anywhere, besides if the fight is in England it will be the same outcome, there were a lot of people rooting for him in Vegas, I'll say 80%.
Hatton better stay in 140 he is good at that div.. Fight Malignaggi, Witter or Torres, those will be good fights. There isn't much to do for him if he does not fight with them.

PBF v Hatton II would be exactly the same outcome. absolutely pointless.

PBF v DLH II would be the dullest fight since PBF v DLH I

    it has to be:

    PBF v Cotto

    Hatton v Witter

    make them happen!

Oscar isn't PBF's boss he doesn't work for GBP. IF anything it's PBF who's the boss he owns Oscar inside the ropes.:deal

No need for a rematch i want PBF to fight Cotto next.
